It just got me thinking just with possibly reduced crowds or another lock down it does make you wonder if it would sway football supporters to have the covid vaccine if it meant keeping crowds at football games again.
Does anyone who answers no potentially be tempted to get the vaccine if it meant still going to the football.
There is also the debate going on about footballers having the vaccine as well.
Interesting times ahead in the next few weeks especially for Football.

Those people that I know who are un vax, some of which are family, are so stubborn on the issue I don’t think it would change them.
My sister, who works in the airline industry, has said she would get jabbed only if she were to lose her job over it. Utter madness.
I’ve told her by then it could be too late. But she won’t listen. There are only 40 of them in the company nationally who are un vax.
She follows the complete idiot who is June Slater on Facebook. Need I say anymore?
-
I think this slide, from tonight’s covid briefing says it all really.

I saw a stat yesterday that said only 68% of PL footballers are vaxxed.
-
Going for my booster tomorrow, if it meant me and mine being safer than others I would go every week.
-
Take this with a pinch of salt perhaps as it’s in the daily mail.
EXCLUSIVE: Get jabbed or it's a PAY CUT! Premier League clubs could dock the wages of unvaccinated players if they are forced to miss matches and training sessions - following the lead of Bayern Munich after German giants reprimanded five stars last month
I’ve heard today also that Google have said that if their staff don’t comply with their vaccination policy then they are likely to lose their jobs.

That’s was in Oct. the stats were actually 68% double jabbed, and 81% had had at least one vaccine.

NR, thanks for that.
It was something that was on tv and I just caught the back end of what was being said.

With regard to football stars I think the clubs have a responsibility to all their players and staff. For me any reasonable manager wouldn’t select the unvaccinated or have them training with the main squad. They’ve got a duty of care to everyone and that means keeping the idiots away from the sensible
I’m also against all these games being cancelled because of it.
Clubs are quite happy to argue they have a squad when they decide to play sxxt teams in cup games. I’d make them play with the squad players.
Maybe when the likes of M Utd lose 2 or 3 games and the chance at the league some of the arrogant unvaccinated might realise it’s not a fxxxing laugh.

Interesting. I assume there is something in contracts about players being required to have suitable medical treatment.
-
I thought this was another thread about the tories, haha
-
You’re probably right Billy
I know previously players have had things in their contracts preventing them from doing various different things so they don’t don’t do things that prevent them playing
I am assuming if they breached this they would be in breach of contract

Ha ha, nice one.

It probably is Syd, after all all the premiership players earn a lot of money, a good socialist only spends someone else's money.

I went to the barbers yesterday, only my second time in two months (my wife’s been cutting my hair at home) & second time since March 2020.
One hairdresser (the owner) cutting hair, she was wearing a mask, single seats spread 2 metres apart, I wore a mask but the customer, I would guess to be in his late 30’s wasn’t wearing a mask.
They were talking about Christmas & New Year & eventually how the new restrictions might impact on social gatherings then he said “I’ve not been jabbed. Not once. It’s not that I’m against it or owt, I just can’t be ar**d”.
I had to bite my tongue…..hard.
She asked him if his work didn’t insist he had them, he said “No, you’re alright if you’re caring for kids it’s just adults when you have to have them”.
He went on to say they were going to Blackpool in the New Year (I took ‘they’ to be his family) to see the fireworks. He said there was a party there with booze so I’ll have to keep my on ‘them two’. She asked him how old his girls were now, he said “Ones 16 going on 9 & the other’s 14 going on 7”.
I thought ‘Yeah, & with a dad going on 5!’.
If he’d said “ It’s all bollox, a conspiracy, they’re injecting you with a chip, the holocaust never happened either” I think I would have respected his ‘reasons’ more (well, holocaust apart) but simply to cheerfully say “I can’t be arsed”, bl**dy h**l!
I hope his Christmas tree falls over, several times.

No-one wearing a mask in the fuel station this morning.
Had a customer in here yesterday and asked him to put one on. Answer was 'Don't have one'.

A small number of votes, but 92% is comforting.

Back to the op, it’s not games being played behind closed doors that will be the short term future.it’s games not being played at all. And we are seeing that now.
As I’ve said in a previous post, if omicron spreads through the pop so fast, it is mass isolations that will hurt us, not necessarily hospitalisation. Although the degree of infection and severity is still an unknown of course.
The saving grace may be that it’s speed is it’s downfall, and like a sudden thunderstorm on a mid summer day, it could fizzle out as quick as it comes. Here’s hoping.

What on earth is a fuel station?

What on earth is a fuel station?
A station where you buy petrol or diesel.

Not only unvaccinated hound, but actually saying they have no intention of getting vaccinated.
Totally irresponsible.

See my post about player vaccinations in efl. The EFL themselves announced this in Nov.
