Question for SLO ref ticket purchases for Leeds game
« on December 10, 2013, 06:59:24 pm by mrfrostsdad »
I thought I read on here in the last few days that there will be no ticket sales on Saturday for the Leeds game. I have looked on the official site and the Keepmoat site but I can't see any mention of it on either.

Can the SLO (or anyone else) please confirm if this is correct or not? It's not for me, but I know people who buy on the day (as they work Monday to Friday) and cannot get to the ticket office any other time. I also looked on the official site and it looks like you cannot buy on line either.

Thanks in anticipation

Unfortunately I don't have the answer,  could tickets be bought over the phone?

There isn't any cash turnstiles on Saturday, not sure if you can buy tickets at the ticket office on the day but there is no reason why you can't call and pick up on the day.

There's no online sales and no cash gates. You can buy over the phone, and I would assume in person, so long as you can prove a record of previous purchases or a utility bill with a DN postcode.

What if you live in retford?

I think the fact that Retford is in DN22 qualifies that area

As mentioned above there are no cash turnstiles available on the day and tickets can't be purchased online.

You can buy via the ticket office or over the phone if you have previous purchase history with Doncaster Rovers. However due to cash gates and other factors there may be fans that the club don't have a purchase record of so failing that a DN post-code will suffice. Any Leeds fans found in the home areas will be ejected at the ddescretion of the club.

While the club are committed to ensuring that no Leeds fans will be in the home areas, as supporters we do however have to be realistic and acknowledge that there is little else the club can do without placing restrictions on our own fans and the local community.

Should you notice any Leeds fans in the home areas report it to a steward, one of us or use the safe-text service (number is available on the pitch perimiter and in the programme) if you would wish to remain anonymous.

Thanks

Having a DN postcode doesn't stop Leeds fans in our end at all does it? In my opinion we should do other things to stop them for example if you buy a ticket for drfc v Leeds then you have to have one for one of our following home games. This is something we did with the arsenal cup game I believe where you had to go to Swansea too. Could boost attendances for what might have been a low attending fixture too

Probably not the only one but probably in a minority.

If any Leeds fans in our end keep their heads down, aren't loud and obnoxious and don't wind up the home fans around them it's not an issue. Unfortunately not many of them are like that.

It's significant that discretion will be shown to ejecting Leeds fans in our end - the quiet considerate ones should be ok.

Hopefully if they get kicked out they won't just get escorted to the away end either.

And Cheltenham, and Newcastle...

I have no problem with it, it's not like we'll sell out ourselves. As long as they behave where is the issue with people just wanting to watch their team?

Must agree first time we played leeds at keepmoat,  there were some sat in front of us had a laugh with them. However a few to the right of us that were idiots and rightfully was removed
