Dressing room squabbles..
« on February 09, 2019, 07:53:14 pm by adamtherover »
Just listened to the post match interview with GM, he says Blair and john were.having a ding dong,  and he loves that.  That even tho they won, the players were still not happy with some of their team mates performances and wanted to have it out.
Not sure about this tbh,  if you argue after a good win, may be the dressing room isn't as together as we are all lead to believe. Hope I'm wrong. It's the togetherness that can get you over the line sometimes..

Marquis looks like he would argue in an empty dressing room.

Winners mentality. That's why we're going up.

I always thought it was good when players had a go at each other in the dressing room, especially after a win.
It shows they have high standards and want to do better.

Of course they should be picking up on where we could do better, although perhaps this could be kept private.?

Better out than in. Proper team mates sort their shit out face to face. Nice to hear.

I have no problems with them having a go at each other shows how much they want to be successful - couldn’t wish to find a nicer bloke than Matty I bet it takes a lot to rile him whereas JM’s Character is completely opposite & he thrives on the edge

You just don't want any clearing the air sessions to have and hangover into the next game.  When you fall out with a work mate, you sometimes don't speak to them for weeks if you don't have to... I'm.sure GM will more than be on top of this...

Hope so, the look of sheer joy on their faces after we have scored is such a sight to behold.

Think would Rob Jones have a go if he thought someone was not giving everything.

From all other interviews ,reports , from Liam Holden (present at all player interviews and pressconferences ) team spirit is said to be high. Several players mention JM ‘ s characteristic rants as being the expression of his drive to win and improve the team game .
Here is a hypothetical case . If one of our players IF...had said to the goalkeeper ‘ Kick the ball out and we will give it back to you .’ The captain JM hears this ! Afterwards in the dressing room would JM say
A that was very sporting of you Matty OR
 B. Don’t be such a f***** idiot next time

We maybe could have been more ruthless today and finished 4 or 5 goals to 1 but let’s save a couple for Tuesday 😄

I loved Markos celebrations to the fans in the South after we scored too.

We know what JM is all.about, but Matty Blair never stops running, 100% for every minute on the pitch. The same as JM, I wouldn't have had them 2 as the stars of a little tiff.   Both graft their arse off.

I hope Blairy ( hi Rigo ) was having a go at Marquis. Should have had 3 again today.

Absolutely fine with this. Par for the course in any dressing room. If anything it's a good thing
