He is Scottish to be fair, he was born in Leeds because his dad played for them at the time.
If it HAD to be between those two I'd go for McCall. Though I've not been too happy with the last two Scotsmen we've had in charge And yes I know he was born in England, but he's a Scottish international, so you get my drift.

Neither of these two; but what about McCarthy?

Not sure of the relevance here but still, never got to use the saying before!!

If both my parents were English but I was born whilst they lived in, say, China, for work. Would I be Chinese? I'd class myself as English. As it is both my parents are from Doncaster. McCall's parents are Scottish, he grew up in Leeds but considers himself a Scotsman I can only presume, due to his international allegiance as a player and a coach. So in this instance I'd say he's Scottish!
Mick McCarthy is back on Radio Talksport as an expert analyser for the Russia v Uruguay game. He said he had been to a wedding in Yorkshire(Wakefield) and another place that he would not expand on, obviously he didn't want people to know where and what for.

I am obviously English, but my wife is Filipino and our son was born in Bahrain and holds a Bahraini birth certificate. So what nationality is he?
