The reports that he hadn't been offered a deal seemed at odds with a lot of the feeling anyway. But if he's turned them down, he didn't want to be here then fair enough. Personally think he's made a mistake there, but we moved on.

He was hardly going to say anything else was he? If he wanted to play then he would be - either with us or somewhere else.

The above is based on the large number of contract “offers” he has turned down.
