Title: Back Rovers With Bet Butler
Post by: bobjimwilly on February 18, 2013, 12:23:45 am
Rob Jones and the boys will have revenge on their mind when they travel down to the Broadfield Stadium to face Crawley Town in front of the Sky cameras on Monday evening.

A late goal from Nicky Ajose gave Richie Barker’s side a fortunate 1-0 win at the Keepmoat in August and Bet Butler make Town slight favourites at 8/5 to complete the double over Rovers, who are quoted at 17/10, even though the visitors have lost just twice on the road in League 1 all season and Crawley have only won six of their 14 home games so far.

Rovers are seeking a first win in four matches but hope to have a few of their walking wounded back in action in Sussex. The draw is available at 12/5 and you can back the score at half time to be 0-0 at 2/1.

Before our match at Crawley, the FA Cup takes centre stage this weekend with League 1 well represented. After knocking out Liverpool, Oldham are 10/1 to beat their great Merseyside rivals Everton while our opponents last Tuesday, the MK Dons, are 6/4 to get the better of Barnsley having knocked out Sheffield Wednesday and QPR in the last two rounds.

Brentford are 16/1 to win their fourth-round replay at Stamford Bridge having come within seconds of knocking out the European champions in their first meeting.

Remember you can claim £25 to spend at your club when you sign up for Bet Butler. Simply place five £10 bets at evens or bigger at doncasterrovers.betbutler.co.uk (http://doncasterrovers.betbutler.co.uk/), then email enquiries@betbutler.co.uk (http://mailto:enquiries@betbutler.co.uk) for a voucher valid for tickets and club merchandise!

Not a strong bench at all, what`s happened to Robbie Blake?

This line up emphasises the need for a couple of loanees!

So no Martis or Blake?

Injured

Brown, Hume, Syers,Keegan, Griffin

That's seven players injured or not available yet Brian does not think we need loanees.

Get Husband charging at Dumbuya and he won't know what to do. I'd actually have given Bennett a go myself, but Hubby deserves his chance. Think we've got every chance of getting a good win tonight!

Not sure what point you are making here Steve. Are you saying Dean wouldnt have had faith in the youth?

And re: your post above regarding loanees, what Brian says to the media and what he thinks in private arent necessarily the same thing.  I'd expect to see a couple of new faces in very soon.

I agree Rob, I bet behind the scenes the management are doing all they can to secure loans, but hopefully the right loans.  Just because no more have arrived yet doesn't mean they wont...

I do wonder what Blake has to do to get a place?

Brian Flynn is to nice for his own good..all that b*llocks about 'best team in the league'...ever since we've looked like bleedin' muppets.

Does he have a plan 'B'? Does he ever set us up with anything other than to settle for what we start with on the off chance we might get lucky and sneak a win?

Needs to get his act together and fast.

What about Cott's lob that was saved then? That makes 2..

If we're poor tonight, we're poor, but don't make it sound worse..

Frosty, really??  You know for certain they've not tried hard enough..??

We're having a form dip and a few injuries.  Pulled it back to 1-1 so we could scrape a decent result, if not performance?

Nothing - but I do trust that the club would be looking at loans - I don't expect them to bring players in at random though, they need to be the right sort the management want.  I agree with the frustration of no one coming in yet though, I just disagree that they are not making every effort...

To be fair to Paynter he's had nothing in the way of service all night.

Get Paynter off for Ball and Harper for Woods.

Paynter for Ball/Sinclair, Harper for Woods and Husband for Bennett... GO FOR IT!

Looks almost like Spurr's playing in front of Husband on the left wing now. Very strange.

EDIT - Scrap that, they've switched back.

This is absolutly shocking, we're being outclassed by Dumbuya! When is he going to change it!

How we are not losing this is beyond me! Riding our luck imo.

Serious questions need to be asked, because this is disgusting. I feel sorry for the 300 or so who have travelled down there to watch this shower.

It's got to the point where we just boot it anywhere and then give away a foul for every header we go for. Embarrassing performance.

3 seasons ago we were 4 leagues apart. Fast forward 2 seasons and they're tearing us apart.
Embarrassing.

Both teams are different to 3 years ago - this season it is a level playing field.

We'll be dangerous if we can find some form!!!

A point we didn't deserve. How Harper stayed on for 90 minutes I will never know.

Tbh I'd if been happy with a draw at the start of the night, but god almighty what a shit performance, we were crap, rode our luck and on that performance will be lucky to get playoffs.

That second half was abysmal. Why did we just resort to hoofing it up to nobody and then giving a free kick away so easily? It's all very well saying we need to sort the danger signs, why not start trying to do it?

Harper should never be allowed near a Rovers shirt again. He was a liability. Fowler went missing til he was subbed.  Midfield is the problem. We need someone in there quick.

Absolutely awful. I know we have some injuries but fowler and harper are shite. We need a complete transformation in performance v Yeovil ! God I miss Saunders at least he would have a go at them
