Read the books Dave, different story...

I have read the books (well, tried to anyway), and didn't like them either. I ended up giving up halfway through the third one as it was just far too depressing, think it is only the second time in my life I have not finished a book, and I read a lot. I also really dislike the style in which it is written, a character at a time, as if you end up coming across 2 or 3 chapters in a row of characters you don't like it makes it a real chore to plough through.

I thought the first series was alright, that one actually followed the storyline of the books though whereas the second series seemed to just make it up as it went along. Not bothered with the third series as like I said, gave up on the book!

I think a lot of people only watch it because of the totty on show, which is fair enough, but it doesn't make it a good series!
