A bit of both, I gather, although the friendlies will be behind closed doors.

I think all the youngster triallists have impressed Dickov.  We need decent talent to add to our homegrown talent to make a good Development pool to make the step up to the first XI when required.

Thought it was just training. If they're playing friendlies out there I will be a bit pissed off. I've been waiting since 1984 since the last 'foreign' tour.

Only two trialists Dagenham, McCullogh and Kello, all the others have signed, Duffy, Furman Forrester, M'Voto , Philliskirk etc, according to DROS.

I guess this lets us know a bit more what's happening in Portugal!

This game will be the last before the squad travel to the training camp in Portugal for a week of intense fitness and tactical training and a behind closed doors friendly game against a local team next Wednesday.

Can you point me to the link please as I can only find reference to Furman signing? Philliskirk isn't going to Portugal but is probably one for the development squad anyway.

On the DROS link on the original post, it states, Trialists, Kello and McCullough would be going, which therefore infers that the others are not trialists as was Dagenham's point.  I slipped up with Philliskirk when mentioning the "signings".

Seems a waste of money if all they are going for is some warm weather training

In the link to the Motherwell team news it states 'players who have agreed a deal in principle, Duffy, M'voto & furman, will be playing today - obviously written before Furman signed. So M'voto & Duffy are not trialists, they are also not our players yet, but they have agreed a deal in principle.
