Chiro no longer required
« on January 29, 2014, 01:04:32 pm by ravenrover »
The spine of the team has been cured
Turnbull
Meite/Kumalo (hate to say it but RJ will struggle to get a game now)
Wellens/Keagan
Brown/Sharp
No team will succeed without a strong spine and ours is now in place.
Add to that the flair of Duffy/Copps/Forester and things are beginning to look good
The pleasing thing to me about the Wigan game and last night was the NIL, no goals conceded add Tamas and Husband to the equation and we have it sorted.
Let's just hope the injury crisis doesn't return and we could be looking at a mid table finish

The goal threat is in place

Interesting view on the CB's. I thought Khumalo looked a bit shaky at times last night plenty of skewed clearances, inaccurate passes and not winning his headers. Im in favor of a settled team and would stick with it until the next loss/bad performance and just swap Khumalo with Jones.

Agree with that. Khumalo's looked a bit dodgy for a while now to me.

I would keep Khumalo in because he has the pace that allows us to play quite a high line which Rob would really struggle with IMO

I thought Jones was poor before he was injured and that the defence as it stands is the strongest we have had all season, Khumalo included. I wouldn't change it barring injuries.

Agree can't see Jones playing again this season
Or if injury is as bad as I think it may be may not play again

I'm with bpoolrover. Quinn at right back, Tamas at cb if needed. Think Rob will struggle to get back in now

If we could get one more player I would choose a quality right back so we can push Tamas inside. Khumalo has been poor recently, his positioning is not great and his "pace" is a myth, anyone who was at Blackpool will tell you that.

For me personally, I think this is the strongest rovers side we've had since the SOD days when we won the play off final.

I said the same to my mate last night rich. Imo the 2nd season in the championship was our strongest side.
