Andrews

Never been a footballer. Absolute gash.
A target man is supposed to hold the ball up and bring others into play, he's also got to be useful at heading.
Couldn't trap a bag of sand, and what a f**kin fanny for a big lad.
Centre half's dream that.

Very harsh,
He had 3 centre halves all over him every-time he got the ball.
With no team mate within 10 yards of him

Yeah he did,
He was playing against their whole defence on his own, Mitchell kept kicking the ball to him and he had 3 defenders around him with none of our players anywhere near him.
To slag him off after only seeing him for 45 mins is pathetic

OK what ever Pep.
Yes he was up front on his own but you make it sound like he had all 4 or 5 players tackling him at once.

Not once did he control the ball or hold it up and he headed it once.

My left ballick is faster than him.

It’s a great welcome for the lad
Some middle aged donny fan who doesn’t have a clue, slagging him off
You crack on
But it’s pathetic

He will be one of our bigger performers this year, and will chip in with a few goals too. I’ve seen enough in his preseason spells to see he has more in his left knacker than some of our so called forwards over the last couple of seasons.

Well I suppose you need someone to be a scapegoat
FFS the lad can play and will weigh in with some goals this season - he was so far isolated he couldn’t do much else

Can’t judge him on today. Half of Mitchell’s kicks were too long or straight into touch.

When he did win anything there wasn’t much support being a man down.

What a pathetic post.

Let’s find a scapegoat. One game and you’ve made your mind up he is a bag of ….

As has been said he was surrounded by defenders. The lad had almost zero chance playing up front on his own feeding on scraps.
The most experienced of strikers would have struggled today.

Do you dullards not remember Chris Brown, Johnny Muir, Bruno Jones?

Those boys knew how to use their size on their opponent.

If I am wrong and he  bags 8 goals and 5 assists and turns into a player, I will gladly put £30 in to Dickless' chosen charity

Nudga gives plenty of young players a chance and he teaches them to play the right way!
I'll reserve judgement on JA for a few weeks, I think I've forgotten what a striker looks like over the last couple of years.

The lad is 20. If you want to find a negative after that result, in the circumstances we found ourselves in after 45 mins, I would suggest you are a tool.

Hey we'll not discuss owt then eh, for the record I think it's a brilliant point away from home.

One question for you lot.

If we were having a pint in the pub after the game I gave my opinion on Andrews, would you lot be that quick with your faux aggression and name calling?
I don't think you would.

I think anyone would say it's early days if asked in the pub after the game. I'd probably say based on today he's got a lot of work to do. But it'd be nice to give him 5 games with a full 11 to show what he's about.

He’s not a bloody seal, can’t control it on his head when it’s coming down from 70/80y out of the sky.

As mentioned he had 2/3 players around him at any one time and should have had a handful of free kicks won down in that corner.

He ran his knackers off today. Put a great shift in like they all did.

Cracking player and I can’t wait to see more of him

No I don't, because then I have my coach's hat on and I help them develop.

This afternoon, I had my Rovers fan hat on.

That is an assassination not an opinion.

If you said, I thought Andrews was poor today cos x y z and not sure if he's going to make the grade etc, then fair dos.

Most folk judge a player over a number of games especially if they're young and learning their trade.

Same old same old Nudga, day one & here we go, you can't have an opinion on here without you being pathetic or rolling out the old scapegoat line. Opinions are opinions, & incidentally I disagree with yours, as I reserve judgement on seeing him play 11 v 11. Pity some can't though & resort to jibes rather than objective disagreement. Happy new season though everyone.
