Would your hopes start rising
« on April 17, 2022, 12:41:43 pm by Sammy Chung was King »
If we won our next two games and Gillingham, lost or drew their next two games ?.
I think they are winnable games. Stranger things have happened in football.
There is a chance that Gillingham don’t win again this season.

Yes we are capable of also not winning again, I just think with the improved performance against Bolton, that we might win the next game.
Shrewsbury and Burton aren’t great sides either. Encouraging that Odubeko got on the score sheet.
I haven’t given up yet. It’s possible and while it is I won’t throw the towel in.

No I just know what football is like. It’s unlikely but is possible. There is ability in the side, we just haven’t seen much of it

Our best case scenario is that we are 4 points from safety with 6 left to play for, as Gillingham play Fleetwood tomorrow.

We have to win every game - been saying that a few weeks now - to even have a chance and that just doesn't seem at all likely.

We are down in all but name now.

This is the correct position.

We have been presented by a truly appalling group of sides with a plethora of chances to save ourselves but we have failed time and again. There is no way we are staying up this season, it has been obvious since the turn of the year.

We're down but a couple wins would give me more hope for next season.

Agreed, we are down, but would like to see some decent performances in the last few games and for us to finish strongly to give us hope and the team confidence for next season. I can’t even contemplate us staying up any more, I keep getting my hopes up and then we lose, it’s the hope that kills you.

I’ve resigned myself to relegation but Sammy is right stranger things have happened. More out of duty and habit I have tickets for the last 2 away games and will be at Burton and Oxford regardless of tomorrow’s results

Of course, I know you know but you did say you would be at Burton and Oxford.

You might have seen the winkie emoji.

I'm not seeing it personally out of realism. I like the positivity, but we haven't put together so many straight wins this season.

Ultimately, the games against those around us, have cost us. They have all been as much a shambles as one another.

LoL, no problem.
I’m still hoping that someone can get the tongue in cheek emoji added to the options to choose from.
Maybe SM can get someone to get it done, it would prevent so many misunderstandings on here.
As for the covid, I am ten days in now and just starting to feel that it might be getting past the worst of it.

We must stop doing this to ourselves.
Please let this be over tomorrow.
I cannot see us beating Shrewsbury or Burton. Let alone Oxford.
I envisage a point at most from the last 3 games.

And if rovers do the unthinkable and win the last three, that, in many ways will be hard to take as we will fall to another team pulling a win out of the bag.
I just want this season over.
It’s like being kicked when you are down over and over and over.

Is staying up really worth it ? I don't wish relegation on us, but it may well turn out to be for the greater good.
The club needs a shake up from top to bottom, particularly the playing staff.
Personally I'd take a relatively successful season in Lg 2 over another struggle in Lg 1.
I know it's not guaranteed we'll do well but there's more chance of a top 6 finish in Lg 2 than this one.

Yes it is worth it, Andy. Whichever league we are in we will need to rebuild and change our way of doing things. If you keep doing the same thing and it doesn’t work, you don’t keep doing them.
You can shake it up in this league. Unfortunately this board have their way of doing things, this will continue.

We deserve to go down no question , we aren’t in a false position and the players aren’t cut out for a relegation scrap the gillingham result I think was a massive turning point and how big would of that 3 points at morecambe have been

I would be much happier if the chairman, manager and anyone involved with recruitment in the last few years left. Appalling,
