Record against sides currently in the top 10

P15 W6 D3 L6 F19 A16 PTS 21 PPG1.4

That's a very good record. The numbers and the evidence in front of your own eyes from the matches is that we are perfectly capable of holding our own against the leading sides.

We are probably not going to make the play-offs because we haven't been ruthless enough against the lower sides. On balance, I'd rather have that problem than the opposite, but it'll be frustrating to miss out because of performances at Shrewsbury and Wimbledon.

We were the opposite last season. If we get lucky and get in the play offs we'd have more hope this season with our record.

If we get into the play offs we really would be the form team and be in with a good shout.

Don’t forget the lack of ‘mesters’, BST.

That's a very good point. We were flat track bullies last season. I know only too well from my visits to the league matches at Charlton and Luton.

Absolutely dire.

That's the core of the problem. A lack of the mental steel required to grind out performances when needed.

Exactly. We need that steel against the bottom teams, because they're the ones who try to kick lumps out of us. The better teams play more football, which allows us to do the same.
