Predictions for Cardiff
« on August 20, 2010, 10:59:07 am by NickDRFC »
There's some bold and brave chat about how we're going to spoil Cardiff's party and Bellamy is going to be anonymous, but I can't see it to be honest. Hopefully we'll put in a performance like last year down there, we were excellent in the second half.

Heart says 1-1.

Head says 2-0 Cardiff.

2-1 Rovers, Sharp and Stock to score.  Really fancy us tomorrow, they'll come at us early then we'll start dominating in midfield.

Also, having looked at the weather models, chance of thunderstorms I reckon.

If Bellamy is on form and raring to prove a point - we'll take a battering, if he's got his 'cant be aresed' head on, we might sneak a draw.

Even without CB I think Cardiff is possibly the most intimidating and hardest place to go to in this division, (mainly because its a sh*thole), so regardless head says a Cardiff win, heart obviously a fantastic Rovers win.

Head- 3v1 Cardiff
Heart- 1v2 Rovers

Unfortunately I can see us getting beat 2-0 playing well but getting caught at the back. Bellamy isn't properly match fit apparently but will start.

Be of brave heart boys. Let not The Welsh Dragon strike fear where fear has no place. Hold together as one, show 'the enemy' our faces, let them hear our voices, let a sudden doubt be cast amongst them. Let us step into that Dragons Den.
Let our team know we are with them. With them in heart and spirit...through every tackle, every pass, every challenge. Let them 'feel' our passion lifting them above the 'battle', that they may see more clearly, breathe more easily, growing in stature and assurance with each pass.

And, when the final whistle is blown, we can each turn to a 'comrade' with that knowing look that says \"Yes...we were there\".

2-0 to Cardiff.

There's absolutely no chance of Bellamy not being arsed. Not match fit, maybe, but he'll put the effort in. Cardiff will have sold shed loads of extra tickets on the strength of him signing and he is, in reality, a Premiership striker returning to his home town club. He will put the effort in, but hopefully we can frustrate him into being ineffective!

Cardiff is a shit hole....whats Donny then, Jesus.

Anyways everyone is carping on about Bellamy, City this year have made some decent signings, the one that i thought was great was the season long loan ( and possible eventually Perm transfer) of Jason Koumas. Great Vision and has unbelievable shooting range and again a Premier League player (on his day), then with Chopra and Bothroyd up front and possibly Bellmay(if he doesn't start upfront)and Burke on the wings thats a hell of a set up.

I said last season and it still reminas this year, the CH of City are poor, Hudson, Gypes and Gerrard are pants and if they sign another player then i hope it is a CH.(saying that Naylor from Celtic signed yesterday although he is a LB)

Im going for a 4-4 draw

I'll be there tomorrow. Should be a cracking atmosphere, though I fear that Cardiff will run out winners- 3-1 perhaps.

Hope I'm wrong!

I do seem to remember a slightly weaker Rovers taking on Van Persie and Bendtner with Almunia in goal at the other end and not coming out too bad. Why worry about a Welsh striker who isn't good enough to get in the Man City squad?

Cardiff 1 Rovers 2

I think Cardiff 3 - 1 Rovers.  They will go 2 - 0 up early on and seal the game with a third half way through the second half.  Sharp will get a late consolation.  Chopra and Bothroyd (2) the scorers for Cardiff.

Got to agree with the Duke ,Viking and any other who think we will get beat. I can't stand Bellamy cos he's an arrogant little twit, but what a great player. I don't believe that we have anyone in our back line who can match him for speed, he will tear us apart i'm afraid. This is not slagging off our team at all, because they always give thier best but this could be one game to write off!

Hmm hopefully Mason will thrive out there tomorrow. A lot of folk on here seeing an easy Cardiff win ...........have they forgotten the quality of our own team perhaps ?

3-1 to Cardiff for me. Too many brilliant players and far too much speed and muscle up front. Crap centre halves at Cardiff are the only reason we'll score.

So have we Bob, you're being blinded by the dazzle and hype of craig Bellend.
Copps in full flow, Sharp like a razor forever harrassing a poor defence, young Mason a massive talent, Sulli a great keeper, Jimmy O imperious as usual and I haven't even started on our midfield yet...............shame on you.
The Welsh will have their handsful tomorrow mark my words , our lads love these big games.  B)

I agree with all of that Hoola. But none of it will take away the power of Bothroyd, the speed of Bellamy, the quality of Chopra and the talemnts of several others. We've got our talents for sure, but that lot will be well fired up tomorrow. I'm not going to eat any dogs b*llocks if we did happen to win, but I would be very surprised. :)

Cheers

Bob
