Was it 3 0 .... Got it back to 3 3.  Then went 4. 3 down with their bloke laying in 6 yd box at Town End .....

..... Then the Dave Penny screamer at Rosso end that nearly broke the net 4.  4 and then a 5th What a game

I said at Half Time to Goole Rover (name and shame) and his B-in-law "we can win this"

They laughed and one or both said " exactly what Planet
did you journey from to watch this" ?

I said they look vulnerable defensively and was right and our goals all seemed to be screamers and theirs tap ins

DP s goal may not have been 4th but good God he really caught that one

Yesterday was the emotional mirror image of that Dover match.

Coming away from OBV that night, you knew the club had turned a corner and rediscovered its heart.

Yesterday felt hopeless. In both the "useless" and the "devoid of hope" senses of the word.

The Dover game wasn't the best, even though it was a 5-4. And seem to remember it being freezing, and with a small ish crowd, as it was back then. But what a result in the end. And some fight.

Enjoyed Snodin’s dance onto the pitch at full time. He knew what that result meant to us all

Don't know how / why but me and a mate ended up on the pitch - we were only young! He nicked a few blades of grass and sellotaped it to that night's match report in the Green Un

Different times.

I don't remember the wins, but do remember Samways in net getting knocked out, whilst we were winning 3-0 against Halifax I think? couldn't believe my eyes he came out in the second half looking like a ghost, and it seemed every shot they had went in.
The recent game felt very much the same.

Great memories of the Dover game, we were on the popside at the Ross end, when the winner went in my mate ran off celebrating right down to around the half way line, football makes you do strange things, great day.

Who was the guy who scored the first-half hat-trick for Dover? Seem to remember he had a Dutch or Scandinavian name. I also seem to remember they took him off at half-time at 3-0 up. Didn't Glenn Kirkwood score a couple and the winner?

Not quite. His last game was a few weeks later. He came on as a 74min sub away at Scarborough in the FA Cup on 8 November. We lost. X

The following month he moved to sign for Tamworth.
