Football tonight
« on March 01, 2022, 03:38:30 pm by Campsall rover »
Am off to watch Harrogate Town v Port Vale tonight.

Better than watching Sky Sports fretting over the score from Fleetwood’s game at Wigan.
If Fleetwood get anything then that will be a big blow to our hopes.
We seriously need 3 of Gillingham, Morecambe, Wimbledon, Fleetwood & Lincoln to pick up as few points as possible.
Can’t see Crewe picking up more than 10/12 points looking at their fixtures.

It looks like a straight red for both players.
That means Fleetwood lose Garner for three games, could be four if they appeal and lose.

Good game at Harrogate.

Port Vale are a big physical team. Won all the headers in the box.

Don’t want to be playing against teams like that next season.
In league 1 there are not too many. I suspect there are quite a few in League 2.

Pleased to see Fleetwood lost and a man sent off.

I had Wigan,Wrexham and Sheff Wed to win and 2 or more goals in the match and Bristol R to win any score, so I’ve made a few quid

The only issue is that Wigan had McClean sent off and Darikwa got his 10 yellow so will miss two games.  That means they are missing two for Saturday's game with AFC Wimbledon and will have McClean missing for the game against Crewe...

To be fair though Wigan ought to have a squad big enough and good enough to beat the teams at the bottom with two or three enforced changes.
I hope that I’m not tempting fate there.

i watched that incident a few times on slow motion last night trying to work out what happened..  I just found out Garner was an X Wigan player so that i would guess was a contributry factor to events,

when Garner got up off the floor McClean was behind another Wigan player who presumably had tacked or whatever ??? Garner - so Garner ended up on the floor.

Garner went past the Other Wigan player towards McClean for whatever reason FULL STOP ... so he wanted "handbags" and whatever happened happened .. could not make it out

Fact
Since Mclean was in his own penalty area he had to be careful not to give a penalty away.

earlier on the radio middlesbrough v tottenham they were having handbags and the commentator said was it Berjwyn?  threw a Middleborough player to the ground and nothing happened !!
