He was the one with the big plastic protective guard thing on his foot/ankle! Was definitley there!!

Yeah, he was there. He walked on to the pitch with Paynter.

Only players who weren't there were Fowler, Howieson, Webber and Sinclair. All understandable really. Some of the youth team players without numbers had their shirts on.

One of the youth teamers had Fowler's shirt on too but he certainly wasn't Fowler!

From what I could tell it looked like Quinn who cleared the ball out to Paynter for "that goal", excellent job!

Did anyone notice in the scenes from the dressing room after full time on Saturday, that Howieson was the only one sat down looking about as unexcited as you could possibly look. Looked like he couldnt wait to get home. Wondering what was for tea etc whilst everyone was jumping about.

i noticed that about howieson too. though he didnt even get to kick a ball in anger for us so prob felt like a spare part .

I do have a certain amount of sympathy for Howieson. He could have stayed at Burnley and warmed the bench there. Was probably gutted at being left out of the squad, although Keegan and Syers both did jobs for us coming off the bench.
