I was driving home last night and saw a sign saying "Wakefield Morley". It got me thinking, is it possible to put a ex Rovers team together just using place names. We have the two centre halves sorted but can we find the rest? I've thought of a few but see what everyone else comes up with...

Peoples surnames generally (as a rule / potentially / not always you understand) derive in many ways but three of them are :
a) Where the person came from. My Maternal Grandad derived hs Surname directly from the place his ancestors lived
b) What trade a persons ancestors were involved with Turner Fletcher Cooper Baker etc are examples
c) Who they descended from Johnson Richardson Davidson Peterson
So it should be EASY to name about 33% of Rovers Players who are named after the place their ancestors came from Albrighton is in Shropshire for example (well its close to Telford

There's another Snod not too far from Gillnigham. Drove through it once on the way to a match. Perhaps that one is Glynn?
