The change of date on ticket pricing has been explained already..

And DF "hoping" the list would be released is hardly a firm commitment to a date is it?  The club will be looking at players behind the scenes and talking to agents, and the current players will be looking after themselves similarly.  That the conclusions are not yet in the public domain does not mean there's bugger all going on.

So is your concern about the squad, or about the club's communications??

For me, announcing early tells the fans the club know who they don't want to offer new deals to and who they are looking to offload whilst still under contract. Plenty of other teams do it but DRFC are always slow to announce.

It would look as if the club have a plan to act early and get a head start on their rivals but let's face it we are usually one of the last to sort these things out.

Personally I think they missed a trick by not announcing early as it shows action after failure.

I expect there will be two lists. Released players and those who are available for (free) transfer. Not sure whether the second list will be made public at this stage.

I agree. I think Ferguson sees him as a handy squad player.

He is also one of the few who seems able to operate in a back three. Although actually I think if Ferguson uses that formation regularly next season it will cost us any chance of promotion and eventually cost him his job.

You promised that you were going to stop posting for a week and you didn't keep it. Stones and glass houses come to mind.

Most of the other sides haven't announced they're full lists, dribs and drabs so far. Of those released by others, many i wouldn't want us to sign, others are probably beyond our reach, Adam Le Fondre being one who is talking to chesterfield.
So far for me, McSheffrey and Rowe i would take, i would leave Chris Neal, i know it sounds stupid but i want a goalkeeper to be signed, who does most of the things needed right, and somebody who we can have as number one for a fair few years.
 He isn't terrible, i'm just looking for a bit more from who we sign, while also realising we are a league two side!. I'd like every position for the manager to be methodical and try and get the right one!.

Darren Ferguson tells me 8 or so players have been told they can find new clubs. Retained list announced middle of next week #DRFC.


 He leaves himself wide open to people like Mr F.

He should say nothing rather than trying to appease the Media / public.
