I sort of agree, but with SOD it was different, he was obviously very different. We all had to adapt to his philosophy, when we and more importantly the players did, we were unbelievable Jeff.Mcann is just a very good manager, certainly above average. He looks from the outside (and a little bit of insider knowledge) to be a very good man manager, but changes his style of management to suit the differing personalities. He also relies on a very good coaching team - never underestimate that, was SOD ever as good without ROK?
no baffling post match comments
We don't play in triangles like we did under SOD, but passing and closing and running are atill very much part of this game. In many respects (although clearly not the same) I think Mccann is closest we have had to SOD. Liked the way Chung tried to play it back in the day on limited resources. What Penney achieved should not be underestimated either, although Walker played a huge part in finding talent back then that helped as well.
Mickey Walker the biggest fraud in football. You could fit what he knows on a postage stamp.
