Our first goal

Did anyone else notice the lino on the East stand flag for offside when our first goal went in before quickly putting it down when the ref signalled goal?

I think he was actually flagging that the original header was over the line. I was sat in the east stand near that lino and I thought at first it was a foul he was flagging for but think he signalled that the header was in (which from my angle it looked like).

My thoughts as well Chris. The way he flagged it looked to me that he was flagging that the ball had crossed the line.

That may be the case, from my seat in the West, diagonal to where the lino was, all I see is the flag go up

Yes he signalled the ball was over the line, but cook was going mad saying he'd flagged for an infringement

From where their manager was it probably did seem that way but as well as flagging he also appeared to be shouting to the ref and began moving back towards the half way line when he had the refs attention. If it was for a foul he would have stayed in that position surely?

Also, the header was definitely over the line.

I sit in the south stand and saw the flag - whenever we score I always look straight at the Lino expecting the goal to be disallowed (the pessimist in me!) - and told those around me that it had been disallowed as the flag was up! It wasn't until the ref was running back towards the centre circle and the players were still celebrating 10 seconds later that I realised, thankfully, I was wrong! One of the times I was very happy to be wrong!

I usually look aswell and starting waving it straight away for a goal from the 1st header rather than just raise it for offside

The way he was flagging looked like he was flagging for a goal.  A bit unnecessary as Tyson buried the rebound anyway.
