Today’s team
COYR
-
Bostock on the bench..... good sign of where his fitness is at.
-
That looks a good starting 11
Hopefully 3 points coming our way
-
Be interesting to see how we actually line up - James could be playing wide left with Smith/Gomes/Richards playing centrally.
-
Updated formation from Liam Hoden
COYR
-
Any reports how far off sims is being fit?
-
Updated formation from Liam Hoden
COYR
Hahaha he must have read my post...happy to be of service, Liam!
-
I hope Gomes is firing on all cylinders now, he will make a big difference up front.
-
That's about as orthodox as we're going to get from DM.
With Bostock on the bench and both Richards and Gomes starting, it seems fairly likely Bostock will come on to replace one of them on 60-65 mins. Fair chance Robertson will get some minutes too.
A good line up with a stronger bench and some recuperation in the legs, so everything to go for.
COYR.
-
Not really a weak link in the starting 11, but when Sims is 100%, somebody will have to make way. I simply can’t see Sims not being in the11, once he’s right, which means it’s got to be a Loanee to miss out altogether. I’ve got a feeling he’ll be in the team at Fleetwood.
-
Result poll added at the top. What do we think, then? Win, draw or lose?
-
who's the co-commentator?
-
Amos
-
thanks
-
Rovers off side twice already, if Oxford are going to rely on that tactic they will come unstuck.
-
Decent start to the game. Both teams looking to move the ball quickly.
-
Oxford getting on top and we are again not showing much fluency in attack
-
Can someone give Danny Amos a handkerchief?
-
Fej not keeping the ball well enough
-
Is it midfield not keeping the ball, or poor passing out from the defence?
-
Getting outplayed here.
-
Is it midfield not keeping the ball, or poor passing out from the defence?
Bit of both at the minute.
-
Strange free kick that against Madger.
-
Fej needs to make the ball stick , he is well off it at the min
-
Can we get it out of the back third?
-
Can string two passes together at the minute.
-
Oxford good at winning free kicks.
-
Having defended Fej on more than a few occasions, his back to goal work is poor - just not his game
-
Shit ref
-
Oxford good at winning free kicks.
Ref good at giving them to them.
-
Someone needs to put their foot on the ball here
-
This referee is garbage.
-
I think this ref is a disgruntled Lincoln fan...wtf is going on
-
Having defended Fej on more than a few occasions, his back to goal work is poor - just not his game
He isn’t that sort of striker that’s why. He is only playing up there because JJ and Bogle are out. Guaranteed when Bogle is fit and ready Fej will play on the left like when he scored his 2 goals against Swindon
-
That wasn’t offside need to step it up
-
Well done Matt Smith!
-
This ref is a complete tart.
-
im a little worried about our form at the moment, we just are not at the races - we are looking ordinary. Come on you reds
-
1:0
-
YYYYEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!
-
Goooooaaaaalllll
-
Woooohoooooo
-
Yeeeessssss
-
Oxford player should have booked then again for walking away
But get in
-
Wow - JT I was just cursing him for not crossing first time and he goes and puts it in the bottom corner
-
Great pass from Smith
-
I'm really worried about out our form......... :woohoo:
-
What a pass from Matty Smith. Wow!!
-
Keep focus now for the next ten mins.
-
Brilliant ball from Smith and great finish
-
Great play by Smith and a good finish by JT.
I was shouting for him to lay the ball off square but he did well to squeeze that in the corner.
A bit reminiscent of Wilks.
-
Fantastic pass from Smith, great finish by Taylor
-
great finish from Taylor! Get in!
-
The resilience of this team is amazing- we have been completely outplayed for 20 mins but we seem to be able to manage to hang on in games and take one of the few opportunities that come our way
-
This’ll give us a lift. Great work from John during the build up.
-
Matt Smith has incredible vision for such a young player, to see that pass and execute it so perfectly, amazing.
-
Sucker punch that but I really don’t care Oxford very similar to Lincoln do play good football but if they get 5 yards from the area then throw yourself on the floor and win a free kick
-
Not just the pass from Smith - the turn that preceded it was brilliant, and to have the vision to play the ball first time was superb.
We’ve started poorly but I don’t think Oxford look as good as Lincoln did so hopefully the goal gives us some confidence and we grow into the game.
-
1:1
-
Balls
-
That was coming. We’ve been pretty slack this first half in defence.
-
its been coming for a couple of weeks, hopefully this will switch us on
-
I thought that Ellery could have pushed that towards the corner flag instead of back into the mix.
-
Darren's half time team talk will be crucial. Half the team have been on AM and half on FM that first half.
-
He saw it late but I think that was a mistake from Balcombe. You turn shots like that around the post, you don’t parry them back into the danger area. Sounds like he passed it straight to Oxford in the first place as well (wouldn’t know because ifollow are still incompetent at showing replays!)
-
Get midfield firing and stop those attacks becoming dangerous will be the priority I would have thought.
-
Decent attack from Rovers is encouraging for second half
-
We are a lot like ifollow. Choose your own words to fit.
-
Richards having one of his absent games today, forgot he was playing
-
Can tell Gomes hasn’t started for over 3 months. Not really in sync with the team today.
-
HT team talk “stop giving the f**king ball away”
-
I would swop Madger and Taylor Richards, Richards needs to be deeper and on the ball more, he along with Smith can pick the passes
-
This is a good game.
I thought Gomes had done ok, a few dodgy touches but enough very good ones too.
T-R hasn’t had an impact YET but we all know he can turn something out of nothing so he is a threat.
Henry is very influential for Oxford and we can’t give him time on the ball.
-
I would adopt the Hitlerian philosophy. "If you lose, you vill be shot at dawn!"
BobG
-
Fej been a bystander, almost. They keep knocking it up to him, but it keeps coming straight back. Buts already called him out for it.
-
HT team talk “stop giving the f**king ball away”
+1
And what a god awful referee - hasn't got a clue! Stealing a wage.
We need to be better when we get the ball, Oxford, for all their possession don't look that good.
-
We look like we can hurt them when we start putting a bit of pressure on, just need to wake up a bit & cut the sloppy passes out.
-
If there is one weakness to Balcombe’s game I’ve picked up on so far it’s his tendency to parry back into danger areas. Thankfully not last week from the two big saves he had to make, but thought he should’ve done better with that one today.
Can’t deny Oxford deserved the equaliser. We need a better performance second half.
-
Fej might aswell be sat in the stands, he’s offered absolutely nothing. He doesn’t hold the ball up well enough for me. Hopefully that’s something Bogle does a bit better.
Pretty poor overall but we are still well in it, worth remembering that these are one of the better teams in the division and it’s showing today. At times they’ve completely dictated play. A point in this wouldn’t be a disaster, three would be excellent.
All to play for in the second half.
-
Depending on how fit Bostock is I would swap him for Richard's and move Gomes into the advanced role.
-
Fej not in game. They seem to be winning every lose ball.hope dm sorts out for second half.
-
This is a good game.

T-R hasn’t had an impact YET but we all know he can turn something out of nothing so he is a threat.
Henry is very influential for Oxford and we can’t give him time on the ball.
Richards will have to act quickly if he wants to make an impact, he normally only gets 15 minutes in the second half.
-
IFollow half time stats said we haven’t head a shot.
-
Cam John, his distribution is damned awful. Not on his own today but he's like this every damned game.
-
What kind of wrong half time stats are these?
Have we had a kick?
-
Just looked at the HT stats on iPlayer, zero yellow cards on both sides WTF?
-
Also no yellow cards......apparently.
-
What kind of wrong half time stats are these?
Have we had a kick?
Yeah, it’s not been great but it hasn’t been that bad. The IFollow stats are obviously wrong!!
Still in it :rtid:
-
Doesn't take that much for folk to turn on the players does it......
-
What kind of wrong half time stats are these?

Looks like they stopped updating after about 25 mins. The list of scores has us at 0-0.
-
Key passes - nil Rovers 3 Ox
-
This is utter cack , we are second best to everything, inviting them to dominate and we look bereft of ideas....
Yes we do get that occasional purple patch, but we are not ever going to consistently dominate...
John scares me to death, he is a big clumsy sod with small dashes of inspiration, Halliday can’t dfend for toffee, yet can get down the wing...centre backs look heavy , slow and easy to intimidate, midfield is chasing shadows at times, and the punts up top are at times aimless, and occasionally lucky to get to the man.....
We are not a consistently good footballing team like Lincoln and Oxford, but we are getting results from playing this crap, so eh,oh...let’s dick around for another 45 and Nick an against the run of play goal to keep our promotion push going.....
-

We’re winning in the offside race

Ifollow still not up to date with the scores, still showing our game 0-0

I refer you to the quote above...... for starters. Also several dinks a Fej....... who just scored
-
ifollow 2 mins behind?
-
Comedy first touch from Fej to split the defence haha
-
Great finish from Fej
-
Good job we didn’t take Fej off then.
-
Lovely finish by Fej!!
-
hang on to that lead this timeb :scarf:

Ah, I didn’t read all that post after the first line of it.
-
3:1

3-1!
-
Richards
-
:rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid: :rtid:
-
OMG T-R is now on fire 3-1
-
brilliant goal Richards
-
Genius by T-R.
I said YET Nick.
-
Wonder if TR shouted "nuts".......
-
Richards having one of his absent games today, forgot he was playing
Must have read my post, more than happy to eat my words, sensational goal
-
Richards is going to be some player
-
what a goal from Richards!
-
Trademark Richards, he loves a skim into that far corner.
-
Wonder if TR shouted "nuts".......
gotta love a 'meg just before scoring
-
Whatever DM said at half time, it sure worked!
-
That goal was total class. Amazing.
-
Filthy little nutmeg before the goal.
-
Another hamstring?
-
I hope that isn’t serious for T-R.
-
Was walking OK so hopefully it's a slight niggle and he'll be fine.
-
This ref is getting in the way all the time. Utterly clueless.
-
Richards only gets 10 second half minutes rather than his usual 15-20 but he’s done a lot with them. Hopefully nothing serious.
First time we’ve seen a number 8 on for Rovers since Whiteman went to Preston, Robertson coming on for his debut.
-
ifollow 2 mins behind?
Mine is about 5 minutes behind !
-
oh no, come on guys, lets try and get through this.
-
The commentator now talking about three games in a week.
We haven’t.
-
oh come on ref for goodness sake
-
Robertson looks tidy.
-
Dare I say it we seem to be getting more control
-
Robertson looks a neat player
-
Oxford stole loads of yards with that throw in.
-
Shit come on see it out
-
Damn!!!!
-
One back with a deflection
-
Another goal to stop me worrying please!
-
Big stroke of luck with that deflection
-
Flakey deflection.
-
FFS don’t do this to us again.
Please make it 4 to stop the nerves
-
That goal came from Robertson not chasing hard enough, and then letting the rubber go.
Shame as he's looked decent until then.
-
You should always pull out if your rubber goes
-
That goal came from Robertson not chasing hard enough, and then letting the rubber go.
Shame as he's looked decent until then.
Letting the rubber go always causes issues
-
Butler got away with that "shoulder barge" - should've been a penalty to Oxford :chair:
-
77' SUBSTITUTION | Double change for Rovers.
OFF - Jon Taylor, Madger Gomes
ON - Joe Wright, Jason Lokilo
-

Bloody auto correct.
Runner..... Not rubber.
:-)
-
Hanging on
-
Wright already in the book after 4 mins
-
We give far too many soft freekicks away around the box
-
Bet its 5 mins extra today as well. COYR!!!!!!!!!
-
And then iFollow gives us a reply if Oxford smashing it against the wall..... Jeez
-
Accrington down to 10 men.
-
They’re not beaten these Oxforders. They’re still testing us. They’re going down too easy, they must practice it!
-
Wright already in the book after 4 mins
Joke decision. Wasn't even a foul.
-
Butler got away with that "shoulder barge" - should've been a penalty to Oxford :chair:
I thought the same, Rob. Risky
-
Bostock on come on
-
This bloody ref is s joke.
-
Bostock coming on.
-
That lad who scored their last goal looks lively, not scared of running at people
-
I can’t believe that the ref stopped play to attend to the Oxford injury just as they were hitting a shot at goal.
They would have gone mental if the shot had gone in.
Very poor by the ref.
-
Portsmouth 2-2 now. Wow
-
Is it lashing rain there at the Kerpmoat? If so I am so impressed with the way the pitch looks. Great work ground staff, best ground in the league!
-

He's proper garbage isn't he. Makes Trevor Kettle look like Pierluigi Collina

Yep. Hammering it down here.
-
Joe’s decision making in the final third is better than our attackers
-
7 minutes of added time!!! Wtf
-
Where the f**k has that come from?
-
How has he got 7 minutes? Anyone watching it care to tell us why?
-
Portsmouth drawing
Hull drawing
Sunderland drawing
Accrington drawing
Some good results there if it all finishes as it is now
-
Burton beating Hull!!
-
Burton 1-0
-
Joe Wright is one of our very best players I was surprised he did not start the game!
There’s never been 7 minutes of stops.
-
How has he got 7 minutes? Anyone watching it care to tell us why?
it doesn't make sense? All subs were made at same time and no length injuries? Should be 3 or 4 max
-
I really wish we had proper timekeepers as in rugby rather than this make it up as you go along fiasco in football
-
Stay tight lads. Just stay tight.
-
He’s added double time for double substitutions by the looks of it? What a joke
-
the stress, the stress !
-
We need to put in a complaint about this ref. He's shocking.
-
BentRef is at it again. Free kick on the edge of the box.
-
what is going on here
-
Burton. Get in!
-
3:2 FT
-
Get in Rovers... were flying.
-
GET IN ROVERS! 3-2 FT
-
Fair to say those results today have gone our way
-
Wooohoooo.
We'll done rovers. Much better 2nd half.
-
Starting to feel like destiny- great win boys
-
Yess..... :scarf:
-
What a result that is...again!
-
BOOM!
-
Get in great win there. Onwards and upwards see you all Tuesday
COYR
-
BIG win DRFC :rtid:
-
Great result, but what a god awful ref! Absolutely bent!
-
I've really loved Danny's commentary
-
Get in, great result though the ref did his best to get Oxford a point
-
I am about two minutes behind on iFollow so darent look on the thread just in case MM put 3-3.
Great victory that.
-
Great result, but what a god awful ref! Absolutely bent!
He was truly the worst I have seen.
-
That has to be the worst exhibition of refereeing for many a year.
-
Fantastic win, especially against 12 men
-
That has to be the worst exhibition of refereeing for many a year.
Nah, we gets loads of bad refs.
Like politicians, they are all the same. :chair:
-
Get in Rovers... were flying.
A simple apostrophe makes the world of difference?
-
how good is the L1 table looking now
-
Mines not updated!
-
BBC match report page has Richards scoring the second goal and Fej with the third.
Edit.
They have just changed it.
-
Was walking OK so hopefully it's a slight niggle and he'll be fine.
Looked to be moving okay at the end when fist bumping their players!
-
What a result, what a run of form we are on!!
Much better second half and thought we was well in control until they got the second and then it was them who dictated play a bit more, as you would expect. Massive that we held on there though as it was last week and some results really did go for us today.
3 points made up on Hull, 2 points gained on Pompey and Posh obviously 3 gained on Oxford too who were running like a train before today.
We should be almost a shoe in for the play offs and we have a MASSIVE chance of automatics, still lots of football to be played mind!
-
That ref is the Matt Hancock of refereeing.
-
The BBC table has us third, but we have exactly the same Goals For and Against as Dull
Alphabetically we are second!!
-

Yes we should be second. We have both scored the same number of goals so alphabetically we are 2nd

b
And Lincoln didn't pull away either , may as well keep an eye on the no 1 spot
-
That ref is the Matt Hancock of refereeing.
That bad????
-
I have to pinch myself how we are managing to manage games without looking in control....
and scoring more with less possession.....
This truly is a crazy season to be looking at promotion...
I feel we are like that old boxer Dunn using his face to break an opponents hand....
-
Hull play Lincoln on Tuesday...... should be interesting.
-
That ref is the Matt Hancock of refereeing.
Well he did adMinister some strange decisions.
-
I think he was conned more than being incompetent
-

Draw or Hull win please.

Yes we should be second. We have both scored the same number of goals so alphabetically we are 2nd
We've scored the same number of goals and conceded the same too. Everything is level aside from the games played and the games lost columns.
I'm guessing they use head to head and Hull beat us at their place earlier in the season.
-
We need to beat Fleetwood and know that we will close the gap on one or both of them.
-
That's my assumption too Rob.

That's what I meant gloster. We just need to win. The pressure then is on the others. They must have been looking over their shoulders for the last couple of weeks.
-
Just seen that the ref is from Sheffield.....
-
Can't paste the table but here's the link. They think we are second!
