I lost 2 lives before getting Purple, then lost the rest without a clue. Put it this way, the connections are so vague that I'd struggle to complete it even having seen the answers!

Done with one guess left, but group 3 (the green clues for me) was a guess for the 4th connection, so group 4 (the purple clues for me) was a gimmee.
Not proud of that but a wins a win.

Clean sweep today. No lives lost and solved illogically

Green
Blue
Yellow easiest ?
Purple but had no idea of why till I saw answer .... But even then ?

Wasted 3 goes to get (Light Blue) row right

After that I spotted a beauty but unfortunately only 3 were right but I think my 4th suited the connection perfectly

Lost all my lives trying to get the yellow clues within a minute.
Abject fail.
New strategy needed. (Or at least come up with a strategy).
Starting to dislike this game lol.

Either win without losing life , or get nothing right and lose all 4 lives OR like today ....

Lose life but get Yellows at second attempt
Get Green Row

Then have 8 random words and three lives

I tried 4 ... 2 lives left
I tried swapping 2 of the 4 1 life left
Picked a random 4 to "get it over with" and BING got the Purple Group

Saw the reason and agreed with 1 word , and never heard of the other 3

That left the Blues so I hit them up and was tentatively in agreement . Highly USA centric though

Solved two rows without loss, then used up all my lives without further success.

Very spurious 'themes' in my humble opinion!

Then 5 minutes looking and failing on the last 2.

Do people watch for the 1 away dialogue box popping up at the top

You have to be 2 away of course , but it helps as you can choose 2 to keep ?

Wolfie, the 'one away' thing means you've lost a life, not that your guess is one away.

It only comes up if you've got 3 guesses right. Nothing appears otherwise and you still lose a life.

Took a life to get First 2 Rows

Then next 3 to not get the rest

I was one away 3 times with the light blues

Even when I saw the Purple I only knew of one of them as related to the answer

Well this has got me stumped today. Can't see any connections.
Tried what looked like an obvious one and didn't have 3 right.
Lost two lives and given up. Will have another look later.

Edit.. Just got the purple group. Now the other 3.

Ended up getting 2 groups, purple and yellow. Almost got 3 but picked the wrong ball game.

Pleased to say I fluked another

Lost 2 lives getting first Row Yellow and then got the Greens

8 words left and 2 lives and "ding" inspiration led me to Purple. I spotted a Letter that would make 3 of them make sense then realised no no it makes 4 make sense

They duly lit up so I then hit the last 4 and had absolutely no idea why they were connected and even though I read why I've still no idea lol

As Bruce Forsyth would be saying "Whoa Good game Good game"
