Cannot believe we’ve dropped James again

Cannot believe we’ve dropped James again
Seems very harsh to me. I thought he had a very good game last time out.
-
Look at that bench tho, talk about attacking options....

to be fair, doesn't DM say he changes the line up if needed to combat the opposition, so james might have been dropped for John regardless of form..
-
Why assume James has done anything wrong? It's a tactical move. DM is trying to win football matches not a popularity contest.
-
Line up here:
-
Strong bench is good see. Hope John is playing left back for added physicality against a specific player rather than loan player favouritism. Even so it's strange to drop the best player on the pitch in our last game.

I have a good feeling about today. Especially looking at the strength and the options sitting on that bench
-
I think it’s probably to match up more at set pieces than anything else. If it was part of his loan deal he had to play, I’d probably play him instead of Wright. I have faith in the big man, bench looks really strong!

John has struggled every time he’s played left back, James has arguably been our best player this season.
-
Nice to see Paddy Madden warming their bench , just hope he stays there.
-
I don’t think either Copps or James have been dropped.
Tactics.
In Moore we trust!
-
Didn't Alf Ramsay make the point that changing the team didn't necessarily equate to a player being dropped?
-
Windy? afternoon all
-
Fleetwood corner
-
John conceded 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes.
-
Uneventful first ten minutes.
-
Up to 8th though

Oxford 1, Blackpool 1. Phew...thought were losing!
-
Yellow for Haliday, poor challenge
-
nice break for Rovers but nothing in it
-
Fleetwood corner, they have a slight edge
-
John conceded 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes.
Now 5 fouls in 24 minutes. Still no yellow card!
-
Shit..
-
Rovers 56% possession...according to BBC.
-
Ched Evans goal from a corner
-
1 down. We are not coping with the conditions well at all.
-
Mistake from diang for the goal but it’s a rare one so have to let him off
-
Dieng missed his punch .
-
Late tackle Coyle, yellow
-
Alfie scores again for Cheltenham
-
Rovers corner
-
Another rovers corner
-
Rovers will have the wind for the second half, scuffed chance by Taylor closes out the first half
-
Daniels OG at Luton 🤣
-

He missed a ball on Tuesday.
Long throw by Southend in the SW corner, came for it and missed it.
I said at the time that it was the first time I have seen it happen with Dieng.
-
The commentators said there may have been a bit of interference but it hard to see if there was, anyway it's on the board, two goals req'd in the second half hound

We should get rid....
-
Only HT but this has all the looks of the old "they were just more at it". They have not given us a second on the ball and when we have had the chance to play, we have failed miserably to do the basics. They are dealing with the conditions far better than us. For me DM has his line up all wrong here. When you play against wind you absolutely have to play with a striker who can hold the ball up. Weve discovered that just isnt Ennis's game, weve signed a number 9 of that calibre and stuck with the one who cant do it. I get why DM has not started any of the new signings but for me Fejiri was an absolute cert for a start this afternoon. And also Gomes IMO has no place in this squad regardless of recent improvement. If he doesnt make a change at half time then the game has gone. We can only improve.
-
The commentators said there may have been a bit of interference...
Aw, bless! :)
Come on, Rovers. We can do it!
-
They would be more used to playing in the wind here, lets go Rovers
-
2-0
-
Oh dear.
-
Poor defending there from a set piece.
-
Shocking goal that , sads is having a nightmare today

Hey MM, i only mentioned it because it is so rare.
-
Needs to make changes now. Should have 2 strikers on and go for it, nothing more to lose.
-
Hate playing fleetwood
-
Plus we are giving far too many free-kicks away.
-
Get in Ennis
-
yeees
-
2-1
-
Game on
-
Ennis
-
Yessssss
-
Ennis finding form! Competition for places up front paying dividends!
-
Ennis on a little scoring run then.
-
Maybe the wind dropping will help a bit, we need to keep playing to feet to beat this lot.
-
Still no subs on yet.
-
Can't bring subs on till they flood the pitch
-
Cole on for Sadlier
-
Madden on that's not good
-
Copps on
-
Good afternoon everyone! Big question, is Fleetwood one of our Bogey sides. However, good our team, we can never beat them. Them having a tool of a manager doesn't help.
-
Come on Rovers.....
-
Still time for us to get back into the game.
-
How are we playing? Not many updates on Twitter
-
Fejiri on now.
-
Fejiri on for Taylor.
-
Fejiri on for Taylor. Now playing with 3 strikers
-
Is Fejiri on yet?
-
Fejiri on for Taylor. Now playing with 3 strikers
At least a goal coming then with competition for places.
-
lots of Fleetwood time wasting yellow card for their gk Ched Evens has spent more time on the floor than playing

Nothing new there then, eh?
-
All over, lost 2-1. :crying:
-
Lack of composure and maturity from Rovers I am afraid. I real ugly game also.
-
A loss, but not too surprising I suppose, we need to get the new lads firing asap, it will be another story then.
-
Last 10-15 mins we should be throwing the kitchen sink at them
But we’re playing it around in our own half
Baffling
-
We never beat them so God knows why I put in PvO that we would.
Oh well Monday training and another swap around of the team ready for Tuesday night at Tranmere hope the rain stays away
-
Hateful team Fleetwood. Absolutely no redeeming qualities at all.
NEXT.
-
Poor today, think poor team selection John is far better at centre back than left back and with Gomes we had 3’defensive midfielders
-
Always seem to get turned over at Fleetwood.
Still, a poor result. They'd not won at home since November.
And 65% of our remaining fixtures are away from home. It's going to be difficult unless we improve in these sorts of games.
-
Like I said at half time. Absolutely criminal team selection. Why complain about a threadbare squad, sign the attackers you have so badly craved and select none of them? It almost felt a bit like DM felt loyalty towards the squad before the signings in order to throw that game to then justify getting the new guys into the team on Tuesday. Far too many nice players in that team for todays opponents.
-
It would be crazy to throw new signings straight into the staring 11 when they have had little or no time to prepare with the squad..
I can however see Cole perhaps starting on Tuesday.
