Five of the starting XI missing. Anderson, Moly, Close, Taylor and Knoyle.

Anderson, Close & Taylor were never going to start.

So one, possibly two if you count Tomlin, might not start.

This is just diabolical. To say no more incomings is ridiculous - first game and we can’t fill the bench!

If you count Tomlin that could be six certain starters so six of our highest earners missing. That’s very very hard to overcome.

More overreactions, I get we've had a bad time with injuries but it's hardly crisis point because of today's injury news. We should be able to field a strong side on Saturday regardless.

It's so diabolical that we signed another player 8 minutes after you posted that, Alan.

So is it suggested we sign another 6 players and if 5 of those get injured another 5 etc

Overreaction on the injuries we should be able to put out a good side still. But it is typical of our recent dealings.

Reo’s injury seen that so many times. Initial 2 months will likely be season ending.

Tomlin and Moly also typical new signings to give the side a spark and immediately injured. Hopefully nothing long term but we have a habit of turning routine injuries into season ending.

The injured lot from last season never even came into my thinking as part of the team. Honestly don’t expect more than 10 games each from them before their contracts are up. The painful thing about them is what we could do with the money if they weren’t under contract.

What we put out on sat and how we perform should at least give an indication of what to expect. Hope the injury situation is not reminiscent of last season.  We shall see.

Of the injuries only molyneux would’ve been starting. We knew about all the others.
Still a very good line up for this level

Mitchell

Knoyle
Williams
Olowu
Maxwell

Clayton
Biggins
Rowe
Hurst

Miller
Andrews

A good line-up once you get past the back 4.

3 of one of the worst back 4s in Rovers history still worries me. What's wrong with Long? Surely he's not injured as well.

Nothings wrong with him,
He’ll be on the bench with younger, Ravenhill, etc

Dickos starting line up it’s far off our 1st choice. Moly and Tomlin I think would be in it so they are the only real missing players

Can’t include the injury gang at this stage can we. Just hope the new lads don’t join then.

So, Tomlin definitely NOT fit to start, then? Have we got a full bench?

Explain what's factually incorrect about that statement.

I've just heard GM say Tomlin will be assessed tomorrow, so definitely not NOT fit to start.

Back to the OP, if it was a sprain I’d expect him to be out for 4-6 weeks.

My fear is that he’s torn his ankle ligaments in which case we’ll be lucky to see him this side of Christmas.

As ever with our injuries, I would love to be proved wrong.
