He's been treated poorly in my opinion. He didn't give himself a new 3 year contract, I don't think he's good enough but deserves better.

A few of these contracts Ferguson handed out last summer have bit him on the arse.

Other than Evina and obviously Middleton I can't think of anyone else. Lund could do well on loan.

Final score 3-2. Good second half performance, never gave up. Middleton still having treatment at side of pitch.

Agreed. Complete lack of respect shown to him. We gave him a contract and if he wants to sit on it until he gets a acceptable offer then thats his decision.

I think DF has made it perfectly clear to the lad and his 'advisors' exactly what his position is. You don't transfer list players that are (in the manager's eyes) not good enough!

I think he's been afforded plenty of respect - he got a decent contract and what has he done since? Only himself to blame.

Alan what has he done,he played second fiddle with Lund to loan players who had to play, think back to Calder who played or came on every game and was dire, the same with Grant ,nobody gave them a good name last season.
He only came on when we were fire fighting and did make a difference at Cheltenham and in one or two other games.
They both should have played at the end of the season when three of our defence and midfield were dire in everyone of the last five games.I will leave you to fill in the names if you saw the games home and away.
I watched every game last season and we had a player on loan that played over 30 games, and never once after the game, during the game,on the bus home,or in conversation with any other supporters, has anyone mentioned his name as having a good game,or he is a good player.

Ferguson has made it clear yeah, but to demote him to our youth team is a bit degrading I'd imagine.
Wasnt it Ferguson who gave him his contract?

Apart from Copps,Roe and Houghton,Middleton is the only midfielder at the club who can dominate a midfield like he did even at a place like Gainsborough.Well they didnt at Tadcaster or Guiseley.

From what I have seen Harry M has neither developed or progressed over the last year or so and these are key issues particularly for young players. Sometimes a fresh start is necessary to get things moving again - judging from DF's comments in the Free Press last week perhaps Harry is struggling to accept this.

Or DF is simply making the most of the sitiuation and pushing him hard to see if he can give an adult reaction and kick on from here, challenge for his place, train like his life depends on it etc.
