the ground's still owned by a company run by the bloke who was in charge when it was built - who - basically - has got the arse with the club over some trivial, historically outstanding debts, and has refused them permission to build on his land ever since - splendidly petulant on his part; more practically, the place has never sold out in its twenty three year history so why bother making it any bigger...???

Their lease runs out in 2026 and they plan to build a new stadium of their own for then.
