If you hop over to the For Sale/Wanted section you'll find we've listed a number of framed shirts, all of which are for sale.
If you've always wanted a signed shirt that's already framed but never been able to afford one, now's your chance. The really popular ones we'd like a reasonable offer, the others can go relatively cheap.
-
When are they being sold by
-
Well, they're on sale now, and will be sold, or given away, very quickly we hope.

Why.?
-
Why can’t out of town supporters make a bid online or over the phone.
-
You might need to pay someone to take some of them off your hands - can’t see there being a rush on for the Razak one!
Seriously though good luck and I hope you do well with it, particularly if it’s for charity - I’ve got one already that the wife won’t let me hang up til we are in a bigger place, not sure it’s worth me buying another to gather dust!

I know. We used to sponsor some of the less hopeful members of the DRFC squad, but it always backfires when we need to sell them.
But signed shirts, particularly framed ones are expensive, the framing alone would cost well over £100, so this is an opportunity for some to grab a bargain. It might not be a star player, but the package is a good one.
-
You can frame them yourself for less than £20

And the signed shirt?

You said framing alone would cost well over £100.

It does, ask DRFC.
I'm asking you how much a signed shirt would cost.
-
Then they are paying too much.
-
Just put a Coppinger shirt in there, great bit of memrobillia!!
-
Is there a Damian Plessis one on there? A real collector's item I hear.

Where can you get the frames for £20?
-
You can get large frames from Ikea very cheaply, but I’m not sure how easy it would be to get a shirt in and look decent.

You can’t, not really anyway.
If you have a look on Amazon you can get ‘diy’ framing kits for about £40.
But of course, the ones the club produce are done by professionals.

[/ The Match worn shirt i got done for my dad cost me £100 around 5 year ago , having something professionally framed is not cheap and depending on what type of glass you want as well can push the price up as well
-
There’s a place in Halifax that does them for just under £50. Very good quality too

Why.?
I’m still at a loss as to how this is unfair on out of town supporters.? Am I missing something.?

I’ve bought one and I’m an out of town supporter

As I said further up the thread, why cant out of towners make a bid online or through this forum.
The shirt could be picked up from reception on match day.
-
I’ve framed many myself Ikea style. They look presentable but the professional ones are different class. Just depends on whether you value the shirt, the finish or both
-
As the bloke who framed nearly all the shirts for DRFC I can tell you there is a world of difference between Ikea frames and those done professionally. For a start, they need to be mounted on 3 sets of acid-free mount board then stretched and tagged, put into a solid frame ( not paper covered MDF like IKEA ) and behind float glass not sheet glass as in cheap frames. They take approximately 2hours to frame hence the price.

I was hoping you’d pop up deebee!
-
Nice to know who is in the frame.
-

Yes I can second that. If you want a Shirt framed properly it costs.
After deebee retired I won that Copps Armband now on display in BVB and that cost £25 - and its no size at all
-
On that basis, if you'd have won his jockstrap it would have cost an arm and a leg by all accounts.
-
I had a couple framed 2 years ago on Copley road, £150, think his shops closed now.

What, jockstraps?
