Both play in blue/white strips and white stockings and whatever shorts .
Both from Yorkshire ,one west t'other from south.
One is a terrier as other is a pig .
Saw a Chelsea fan get stabbed to death on Leeds road after a Huddersfield v Chelsea game, early 1980s.
SYP had me in holding cells under Sheffield weds massiv Kop stand and let me out infront of all the Sheffield weds fans leaving the ground and SYP shouted ' make your own way back to the station and if your in any trouble on way down we will nick you you Chelsea bas**rd'
That lead to a terrible walk all the way back to Sheffield station ,but that's football.
Funny thing was ended up in a punch up with some reading Chelsea lads outside Sheffield station as they thought we was Sheff weds bas**rds.
So with all above taken into account I want huddesfield town to win all day long.
-
Can't think how any of that could possibly be relevant to making a decision on who you want to win a game of football.
-
Dont want Wednesdays to go up. We've lost enough fans to the likes of Wednesdays,Leeds etc already.
Plus i know a lot of there fans who cant resist shooting there mouth off at every given opportunity even though they are donny born and bred.
Come on Huddersfield.
-
I am dreading a Wednesday win.
There are lots of their fans who work at our Sheffield branch and I speak to plenty of them most days.
They have had a ball recently having a dig at me over our failing to win the title.
-
Was that a penalty? Seen em given.
-
I am unable to watch the game but after reading some comments posted on the BBC it appears that it should have been given.
What about tv replays for key incidents in games, especially big games, where the outcome could depend on a major decision being right.

Don't like Huddersfield, but really don't like Wednesdahs. Worked in a few bars in Sheffield back in the day and their fans (along with the blades) were an absolute nightmare on Friday and Saturday nights. I've had a pathological dislike of both Sheffield teams since then and like nothing better than seeing their fans suffer.

Herbert, we may not agree on politics but I do agree with your views on the deedars.

I detest Wednesday with a passion almost rivalling my love of Rovers!
Had a lifetime of digs and having the mickey taken because I support Rovers. Trouble is that for 99% of the time I couldn't throw much back. They were always in a higher division than us.
Come on Huddersfield!
-
Hiddersfields Mooy is a player, on loan from City.
-
Shino, deedars one up.
-
You are a sad reminder of all the idiots that called themselves football supporters NoF. Please crawl back under your stone and don't bother us again.
-
1-1 now up the terriers
Looking at the posts on here most of us have a dislike for Sheff weds for whatever reason ,which is what I type of suspected it to be.
Geoff bansky > thanks for your inputt fella.
-
Yay, udders back level.

Ha Ha!! I can live with that! Cheers mate!

Extra time
Sheff weds when you take into account they are the home team have been very negative which supprised me.
Uddersfield have picked up since they drew level and I get the impression only way pigs will go throu is via a penalty shoot out.
-
Fletcher off/Rhodes on has cocked Wednesday up.
Never quite got the Jordan Rhodes hype and I think I heard Wednesday will pay 10m in the summer?
Mental.
-
What on earth have Sheff weds done to their kit ffs ,thought it was a Ipswich v uddersfield game at first.
-
Them Kitchen sinks are all over football at boardroom these days
-
Tide as turned in last 5mins as it's all Sheffield now.
-
Just gone to Penalties ugh
-
Full time in extra time still 1-1 and it's now the mad house time for a full house trip to wembley.
Watch out for when sky cameras zoom in to the defeated fans for the fully grown man balling his eyes out or the teenage crisis victims welling up .
or the little kid streaming tears not because of the result but cause he old man got so worked up
-
Udders win on pens.
-
What a w**ker for Huddersfield
-
SUPERB
-
Hahahahaha
-
That was exciting
-
Unlucky Wendies yet again
-
I won't be getting many calls from Sheffield tomorrow.
-
Explain ???? 4-4 and Huddersfield won
-
well done 'udders - now get promoted just to reinforce the fact that leeds are the real shit of west yorkshire (if not all of it) !

Funny but oh so true. :) Guess that's Owlstalk in ''shut down '' mode for 48 hours ! lol

away penalties count double in the event of a draw
-
Anyone noticed that the front 10 rows back of seats are all blocked off
in the upper stand away seats .
Why on earth would they have to do that
-
BBC corrected themselves. Owls had one chalked off and now 4-3. Why do we pay them licence fees, it is not the first time they have made scoreline mistakes

I would not trust the bbc if they told me what day it was ,as they have gone right down the hill as a balanced news outlet
-
The front 10 rows were blocked off because Huddersfield fans were sat in that section and Wednesday fans were sat in the lower section. "Back in the day etc etc "
-
It was Huddersfield fans at the top and the bottom ,hence why I can't work it out .
-
No it was Owls fans in the bottom
-
deserved win for Huddersfield over the two legs but oh for a striker Mooys a class act enjoyed watching him saturday mornings in the Australian A league.Apart from the financial side of things cant understand why he went to Man City.Glad to see him on loan to whoever and i hope he gets another club too good a player to be a City reserve.Bet all the Blades supporters are happy at long last a couple of league derbys.

Mooy's club was Melbourne city which was taken over by man city
Hence he was taken to the etihad as a punt

The point i was making Bedale i just think Mooys is too good a player to be lost in the Man City reserves. One of the big troubles in football is big clubs taking players they dont really need. This leads to good players not playing in league football.Just look how many Chelsea had out on loan last season.Players that will shipped out again next season somewhere else
-
His weekly wage is supposed to be £48k and Huddersfield pay very little of it according to a mate who is a supporter.

Remember Ray Veal at Rovers acko?
He was good for us went to Everton, had Jimmy Armfield in his pocket in an early game and then disappeared without trace. It's happened for years.
-
Yes i remember Ray Veal Idler good good player who as you say disappeared from the scene. The money being paid to players today is far greater now than in Rays days,Ray joined Everton in the hope he could enhance his career but today the young players are prepared to be shipped out here there and everywhere because they get their wages paid by the parent club,

£48k?! Madness. He'll be playing in the PL next year anyway, with Huddersfield or not.
-
Ray VEALL went from EVERTON to USA actually IDLER ; I know him and used to play with him at ROVERS Intermediates . He lives in New Zealand and last year was given an FA CUP WINNERS MEDAL BY Everton ! ( only 50 years after the event lol )
-
He looked a very good prospect. I always wondered if he would have done better going to a slightly less famous club.
John Meredith was another that showed promise about that time and faded after moving.
