shift in the balance of power over this last few minutes - hopefully that's a bit of opening uncertainty out of the way...

is there any facility for these matchday threads to be turned 'live' by the mods - so they auto-refresh when there are new posts - see that on a lot of other message boards ???

jesus - Adelakun needs to pull his finger our of his arse - more attacks foundering at his feet than by the intervention of any Crewe defenders...

The Crewe pitch is traitorously slippery.  I hope our lads have their wet weather studs readyat half time.

Typical of him though, isn't it? He'll frustrate you 4 or 5 times then pull some magic out, that's what you get with him.

Crewe generated virtually nothing other than the threat from those long throws - Rovers far and away the better of the two sides and really should be a regulation cruise to victory if we can weather what I presume is going to be a high-octane start to the second half by the home side...

First 20 minutes: Nervy, long throws, slips.
Last 25/30: Juggernaut Donny.

We looked loads better when we finally started to pass it rather than just hitting it long.

We need to score next as they still look a threat.

Also ground staff need to be pulling the advertising boards closer to the pitch ready for Friday

We’ve not been at it for two thirds of that half, but we’ve gradually gained dominance, Crewe had a bit of a meltdown after we scored

Slow start, but once we started moving up through the gears, you can see the goals coming....

Crewe were surprisingly energetic giving us no space at all. Then as soon as we scored, Crewe became surprisingly defensive, just allowing Rovers to take the initiative.

yup - I'm expecting him to go on a mazy run that ends up in a penalty - there's no way that defenders can front him up with any conviction, as even he doesn't know where he's going, let alone the opposition

Absolutely. Not his best half, but he bagged an assist and would have had a 2nd with a bit of luck.
