Hi BST - of course you were right about the two 90+ points scenario. Unfortunately my worst case neuroses about Rovers (based on 90% of half a century's experience) just won' t go away.Deja Vu all over again (Yogi Berra is very underrated IMHO) with Notts County for me - I was there in 1966. And yep, Bournemouth' s stellar form over the last 8 games has put every other team' s results in a shadowJust hope the fact we are away, and play counter-attacking football is enough next weekend
How many of those matches has Paul Keegan played in btw? Just a question.
We've clearly been average for a while, then again I think the league has been pretty average. The amount of times we've dropped points and those around us have failed to capitalise has been untrue.
Bournemouth's form has been entirely predictable ever since Eddie Howe took over... [Off the top of my head here/A *very* quick tot up courtesy of Beeb]: 17/18 matches unbeaten, a blip of a couple, then onto 5 unbeaten, followed by 5 dismal results when they got hit hard by injuries... Sure, their run now is spectacular, but - and this has always been obvious - had Eddie been there at the start then AFCB would have walked this league. Never really been a doubt of that. This is where stats fall apart. Take Bournemouth's performance throughout the season and they - obviously - don't look like certs for the league; cut out the bit that was managed by (and I'll quote a Cherries fan here) a man who couldn't manage his way out of a bag, and they were/are and always have been champions. So a) Our win at Dean Court (when they had their injured players back) is even more impressive and b) if we win next week and they lose, we'll have earned it good and proper - 'cos we've had our lumps, shite and injuries this season too.
Cussy (Apologies for the auto-correct calling you Cissy before, yer gret Cissy)If the current team had played the one from October 07, I know who I'd put my money on.
