Possibly, but the big question is, " Who the hell would want to be a football manager in these days of instant success or failure"?
I know every time a job comes up there are hundreds of applicants, but it has to be the most precarious job in the world.

More times than not, increasingly, football is a sport for the stupid.

Dickov has paid for the cup run,how many teams go backwards when they have a run in the cup?,most of them,we did under Dave Penney,Bradford's league form is the same, they would be in the automatic places for me,if they hadn't gone on the run they have.

They've signed a few players to bulk the squad up,which they wouldn't have done otherwise,it's really short sighted of the Oldham board,he's given them a decent team,on a rubbish budget probably,Keith Curle,he's just got massive expectation,at a club the size of Notts county, they want to be in the Championship now,he turned the club round last season

It hasn't worked this season, they have been short of a good finisher, and have been too leaky at the other end,it might sound stupid, considering their respective positions, but i can understand the Curle sacking, more than the Dickov one, because,i would think Curle has been backed to a degree with his budget for players,Oldham won't have given him much to work with.

The board have took all the accolades for the cup run,but haven't shown any understanding,of how small a squad,he has had to work with, how do you rotate a squad, you can't do it against the big teams in the cup,you would get slaughtered, let's be honest, unless Oldham pull off a miracle like Bradford, they would have gone out of the cup sooner, rather than later, then the pressure on the squad eases, then the results would have picked up again.

The writing has been on the wall for Dickov all week after what their chairman came out with last week after the Liverpool game.  His next defeat would always lead to him getting the boot - or jumping himself.

Not too surprised about Keith Curle either.  Notts County have been on a downward spiral for a while.

Super Paulo next  :)
