Hope he is better than the Mr Singh we got at Chester for a midweek league game in 2002/03

As it’s Crewe at home in a semi final, I was hoping for Trevor Kettle so Joe could take a penalty twice.

OMG that game was madness. Did we get two players sent off there? Some dubious calls from distant memory. I think it was Paddy's night as well and we went out after in Liverpool, which was much better

1 PL game, his first, Luton-Palace in March, but mainly Championship and L 1. No L2 matches at all this season.

From Facebook:

“Let's hope Sunny Singh who's refereeing on Monday is as good as he's dad Jarnail  Singh. He was a class referee back in day  can't remember him having a bad game one of a few decent referees along with Uriah Rennie

Two points

1) He was absolutely fantastic and let the game flow

2) could you imagine that game being controlled by VAR. Every little 50/50 slowed down and analysed. It would be 5 v 5

Probably the best ref we’ve seen this season.

The ref did an excellent job, let the game flow and did not fall for some of the play antics from both sides.

Can we have him every week!

Same he only started getting things right in the second half mols had at least 3 fouls in the first 20 mins go against him or not given, I thought here we go again

He didn’t want to start dishing cards out so let a few go, mainly on us. From when Molyneux was taken out in first half he got serious.

Also clear foul on Sterry near the corner fla that they attacked from.

Clear corner we should have had, it wasn’t a hard one.

When he finally gave us a FK first half he didn’t play advantage, McCann was going nuts at him I genuinely thought he was terrible.

I thought he started poorly, and then got a lot better, so overall OK. That is better than most this season.

My thoughts too Dutch.
I thought he was a Homer in the first half hour but levelled it up after that.

I thought he was good. We dive a lot for soft free kicks and he didn't fall for it at all. Got one call majorly wrong though when he gave us a free kick after Matty Craig had made a back for their midfielder.

Watching the game in the ground, the universal view all around where i was, is that he was clueless and let far too much go which could have cost us dearly.
The push in the back on Sterry resulting in the attacker getting a run on goal was as clear a foul as youll see. Fortunately they didnt make the most of the chance.

I thought the way he pointed to the "middle" twice was fantastic.

He got those 2 absolutely spot on  :scarf: :scarf:
