Just saying, fans feel self entitled to know the in's and out's of everything. I am sure pretty much every football club in the country will have procedures and sanctions in place for yellow and red cards. We don't need to know everything do we.

Many years ago a  manager  (think it may have been Brian Clough)  had a player sent of for something stupid. Clough in his wisdom decided to make an example of the young man and made him work in the club shop and undertake some mundane errands to basically show the lad what he felt of his antics.

He explained to the media that his players were playing professional football ,doing something that almost everyone in the grandstand would love to be doing.

I seem to remember the players union kicked up a fuss. I don't know how it was resolved.

Harsh, as was the card, imo.
If he'd thrown a punch or lunged in two footed fair enough.

The one place where we have a lot of options at the moment is in the striker positions.

And this is the one option that has been most productive for us.

Exactly, Fey must be hoping one of them hits form in the next two games so he can get straight back in 😉
