Lottery ‘Welcome Pack’.

Now I don’t want to sound mean or ungrateful towards the club & it’s efforts here however.

Today In the post I received an 8’ x 6’ envelope from the club. On opening it I pulled out a glossy card which on appearance, promised who knew what inside?!

Perhaps a ruler or a place mat with my name on (remember those?) along with a sticker for the 🚗 ‘Don’t Follow me Follow The Rovers’ which I could display beneath my now fading miniature replica kit.

Alas no.

Inside was a letter explaining the rules of the lottery & how I might claim my 10% discount when booking a hospitality package, along with a small
card containing my two lottery numbers which when folded, slotted into my wallet. And that to my dismay/greed, was that.

Well, I hold my hands up now & admit that I turned that glossy card upside down & shook it hard, you know like you do with Christmas & birthday cards just in case you’ve ‘missed’ that £20 note from auntie Jean, but shook as I might the ‘glossy treasure chest’ was empty.

So my card’s in my wallet & the accompanying letter is back in its glossy sleeve for safe keeping......somewhere.

Christmas is truly over.

Do I remember the coaster and ruler with our name on it?

I don't need to remember, I have my glass currently placed on top of the coaster! I haven't had much cause to use the ruler in many years though.
