I think he's from Sheffield, which may explain why we don't get him often. If any decisions go our way, expect dark mutterings from Boro fans about how "he favoured his local side."

We used to do OK with Uriah Rennie, so maybe this is a good omen.

It was a pretty easy game to referee, to be honest. Though he should have booked Smallwood for a very poor challenge on Quinn early on and missed the save by Steele on Coppinger's shot. Otherwise, he didn't get a lot wrong.

Was a dreadful challenge on Quinn ... & not even a Yellow Card

Any other time (instead of in first 2 minutes) in any other game it may have been RED ...and imo if a Rovers player had done it I would have said the same
