Funny how Alcock, Baudry and McCullough are all injured again. Same as last season.

Shit he's our best defender as well and we are struggling for quality at the back as it is.

Unreal. We will be scraping round now. Minimum two centre backs required

He said: "I was looking at bringing defenders in anyway but this will accelerate that."

Is it me or have we suffered serious injuries every pre season for about the last 30 years?

So, if a centre half was a priority before this, does that mean we need two now?
Baudry was/is the only decent centre half we've got

Massive blow and a worry for us. My concern is, if we now have to move for a better CH will that impact our ability to strengthen elsewhere on the pitch? I hope not, Fergie needs to chat to the board asap - we cannot start this season short at the back or in centre midfield. Two crucial areas of the team.

Do we need to start looking at the pre season training we're doing. 2 seasons on the trot we get multiple injuries.

A number of last pre seasons injuries were from when Newcastle kicked us off the park.

Alcock said yesterday at the game that it was just a pull and not be out long

It depends what sort of injuries they are. If they're torn hamstrings and the like, the chances are they're doing too much too soon. If they're breaks as a result of, for example bad tackles, there's not much you can do

Things not looking good, experienced centre half needed else we will struggle. Thought defence look weak last few games of season.need to start season with a balance team so hope he does not leave it to late to make decisive moves.

I wonder if it's the type of pitches we are training and playing on!

We train on Cantley Park same as usual for the last god knows how many years ,but they are very good surfaces. Makes a mockery of this though.

HE's a tad injury prone but these things happen. Clearly we need a couple in now.

Deebee, we may train at Cantley but didn't they put a desso pitch in there as well?

you can just about get a subbuteo pitch on a desk but doesn't usually cause many injuries.

If there's a desk in the middle of the pitch it's no wonder people are getting injured really.

I would take the comment about Alcocks injury not being serious with a pinch of salt.
The club said that Baudry not playing at Armthorpe was just precautionary.

Looking back to last season, Baudry may as well have played the last few games.

Baudry back sooner than thought;
Doncaster Rovers: Latest on hunt for defenders plus Mathieu Baudry update - The Star

Takes a bit of pressure off if he is ready by the end of August.

Sounds like Taylor is our number 1 priority then. It's a big gamble this, although if it works out he will be superb in L1

Glad to hear Baudry may be back sooner..  However I would maybe urge caution rather than rush him back.  Still, if we get close to the end of August and Baudry looks dodgy there is still time for a loanee..
