Obviously thinks they've got more potential than Burnley. Where does that leave Stocky, I wonder?

I thought we were after a ball playing midfielder months ago. Maybe worth a punt on loan.

Citing personal reasons, he's probably homesick up north. Don't Bourenmouth have a bit of money now? If they do, Stocky on loan is probably a decent shout for them.

What's the chances of Owen Coyle going back to Burnley? Went to the first Bolton Burnley game after Coyle had joined Bolton, there was hel on!

I think Owen Coyle may have burned his bridges at Burnley- at least as far as the fans are concerned.

Bournemouth are loaded- at least short term- as they have Russian money behind them. Though I do wonder if the Ruskies are in there for the long haul. They could go down the same road as another south coast team...

Mind you Redknapp went back to Portsmouth after jumping to Southampton, so who knows.

This is what a Bournemouth fan said about their financial position:

The fact that we have players on £14k/week scares the bejebus out of me to be honest. If Maxim chose to walk away it's straight to liquidation for us I think, we are most certainly not living within our means without Max paying the bills. Personally I don't like that, I know it's worked for years at Chelsea with Abramovic but we're no Chelsea and never will be! We do however have the potential to grow to the point where we can yoyo between L1 & the championship instead of L1 & L2 as long as Max stays interested.

£14K a week in L1? Doesn't sound terribly stable to me.

As Winston Churchill put it (after he left the Liberals to rejoin the Tories in 1923): "Anyone can rat, but it takes a certain amount of ingenuity to re-rat."

There's a few re-ratters about- Redknapp, Nigel Pearson and now Eddie Howe.

£14K a week!? How on Earth can they sustain that sort of wage under the FFP rules?
