Title: Rovers v The Crooked Spireites
Post by: RobTheRover on October 09, 2012, 07:10:05 pm
Not at the game thanks to a poorly Missus.

Updates gratefully received.

I'll go for a cheeky 2-0, Jones and The Decorator to get the goals

Rovers dominated possession in that half but only fashioned half chances. To say this game needs a goal is an understatement #drfc 0 #cfc 0

Decent following for Chesterfield that. Doubt we would have took anywhere near the same.

Lowest attendance for a competitive game at the KMS.

That's 2180 who will be satisfied with the ground experience, but unless we score then that's a different issue.

I bet we'd have taken at least that, maybe more. We've never played at their new ground (whatever it's called these days) so would have been one for a lot of people to tick off, which I'm sure is what the main draw for the Chesterfield fans at the Keepmoat tonight is.

Doubtful. If only 2000 turn up for the home game, I couldn't see us taking 50% of that number away.

Commentators saying Keegan was MOM. Said not put a foot wrong all game and was always available around the ball.

Great news about Jordan Ball scoring on his debut with his first touch. Now that is an impact player. I'd love us to keep young uns like Jordan to fill up the bench for the first team. I'm still miffed why we let Baxendale go. I was talking to a Walsall fan yesterday who says our loss is their gain as he looks a very bright prospect.

Did Keegan play RB as the order of the lineups suggested? I know he played there a few times in pre-season and I've wondered if he could be an option there. Won't be as defensively sound as Quinn (although hes no slouch in the tackle) but could offer more going forward at home.

Keegan almost played like a sweeper , he had a cracking game.

He had a good game compared to his usual standard. Still takes too long on the ball for my liking. My dad commented that it's easy to see the different in quality between Keegan and the likes of copps. don't want to knock the lad though - any improvement is progress  :scarf:
