The reason Copps got criticised last season is because he was playing in a team full of international donkeys who were all equally shit and did not care about the club, so he got disheartened, the club needed to save some money and he left.

Truth is, after 9 years of brilliance we got used to how good he was. We took him for granted. His control of the ball, the way he can turn and ghost past players like they are not even there. And this year he has played out of (his usual) position (with a style that does not suit him) for most of it and not looked out of place. In fact, he added something to the team when he came back. He's never had any major injuries so I think he can do a Beckham and go on playing for a few more years yet.
