Do you honestly think he's got no idea ? He was a top top player in his day. You don't play for the clubs he as if your crap? He himself would have been nurtured till the time was right.and so if he thinks the time is right for this lad he will play him .dont forget he's only young. Much as I wish it were not so, I agree with you Askern. You can damage a kid irretrievably by looking to him for a short term fix. We employ someone to make those judgements for us. It's sad that so many amateurs cannot let a proffessional get on with his job without sniping from the sidelines. If he's not up to the job, fine. He will doubtless be shown the door. But suggesting he chuck a kid into a shite team playing badly simply to ease your collective guilt trips makes me sick.

As I have posted before it, s time to stop insulting these lads and the manager and get behind the team ALL of them we can help by encouragement. I am sure it will make all the difference. Slagging someone off rarely works and usually makes things worse.

He only won the scottish league which at the time was similar to now, a one horse race.  Celtic were off the pace, ferguson had left aberdeen, which left Rangers.  I'd have managed them to the league as well.
