To be honest WR I got fed up before reaching the end as it's 2013 all over again and stopped at the word consortium, I should know better and read the whole thing.

Maybe SC have learned a bit more about PR this time around and are hoping the face of a pop star will bring the public pressure to force a sale through that they failed to achieve by promising promotion to the premier league through the investment of a fiver and two buttons, last year.

I'm hearing there's more than SC, JR and LT involved in this. The names been mentioned are bizarre.

It's true. This is ridiculous after a horrible end of the season we just needed quiet and to be off the radar like last time. If the takeover happens pressure and spotlight will be on us all the time

It's clear now TB and DW want out.

I assume you've heard the same names as I have...

It's going to be a bizzare old summer, isn't it?

You'll upset people by stating the obvious here, DTD.

How bizarre?

Personally I'm tired of all this speculation, all it's doing is causing unrest and friction, interestingly the same old names have reappeared on the forum wanting this to happen without having any knowledge of any detail, I'll reserve judgment this time until more information is known, I think the present incumbents at the club should have learned from last years farce and. Be a little more pro active and not let this drag on causing potential damage to the club

Very bizarre Filo. More in the mould of LT than sportsmen or businessmen.

Of course it's a secret society! Certain posters on here like to think they are in the know and crave the attention of others asking them what they know. It's just ironic that most who claimed to know something, especially those who were backing SC, were proven to be wrong.

And their sources aren't to be trusted.

All pathetic really.

All I'll say is they're from the celeb world rather than football or finance.

We're about to have a VERY odd summer that will make the last takeover saga look like a walk in the park.

Evidence that TB wants to sell?

If he didn't why would he entertain at least THREE takeover bids?

If they didn't want out we wouldn't have people trying to buy us over every second Friday. The clubs refusal to comment says a lot also.

So The "Board" will consist of JR/LT as co chairmen, with Mick Jagger, Meatloaf, Adele, John Parr, Dave Dee, Dozey, Beaky, Mick & Titch on the Board.

Mmm let me think, TB gets approached by individual/consortium enquiring about buying out the Club, TB being a businessmen looks into proposed deal and determines whether they can not only provide the long term stability of the Club as drawn up already but give more than he can. This is just good practice and one in which all owners would follow, it doesn't mean he wants to sell, if that were the case he would be actively trying rather than having to be approached. As I said evidence? I have yet to see any.

Just because they have been approached doesn't mean he wants out, take into account that JR is fronting things and who did he lose control of the Club to? Plus what is the motivating factor?

DVR, didn't TB and DW actively peruse the "Local car dealer" buyer?

Well, this is fantastic news... not. All we need is another summer of utter silliness that comes to nought. No doubt this will destabilise the club, jeopardise getting players in again and ruin any hope of having a decent run in League One. That this has "leaked" once again makes me fear that many of the same eejuts that were involved last time (and new faces, it seems) are involved on a seemingly bigger scale. Kudos to them for getting a boy band member in to help ensure shirt sales, etc... *weeps*

Big boys and their chuffin' toys. It's pathetic. Agree that the board should comment (though I say this only for my sanity - it would be nice if this could be nipped in the bud, mind).

They looked at another bid, yes. To say they actively perused it would be an over statement.

Brian Blessed, Diana Rigg, Keith Barron, Jeremy Clarkson, Neil Dudgeon, Lesley Garret, John Parr and Marina out of Last of the Summer Wine?

My understanding was that TB went looking for that deal as a counter to the SC deal.

Politics, eh?

In reality who cares who our owners are as long as they're doing the right thing for the club on and off the pitch they have my support.  That's all that matters.
