Great. One of the longest trips of the season moved to a night game. Sure to please those wanting to go.

Not like Sky to consider the supporters is it? What will we take down there on a Monday night? 30-50 fans?
Suppose the plus is more of our fans will get to see it, but you have to feel for those who'd want to go.

In the minority, but pleased with this. Suits me better than a Saturday game.

Prefer that they show a Rovers away game to a home game - last thing we want is a reduced crowd at the Keepmoat!

Do we get any extra TV revenue for this? Maybe the club could pay for travel costs for those die hard enough to go!

I was going to go for this but even for me here in Wiltshire, it's 120 miles each way. Monday night? Nope. And sadly, I don't have Sky.

Since when did you need Sky to watch live TV matches?

There's a group from Thorne who've arranged transport and booked hotels to make a weekend of it.

Seems a bit daft leaving it this late to announce this?  Earlier in the season would not have messed folks about so much.

hate Sky with a passion!

5 train tickets bought here and no chance of a refund.

Maybe the VSC could take up our case with Sky/DRFC/Crawley to get some compensation?

Fantastic. Well done and thankyou to sky. Finally an away game that I otherwise would not have seen.

Agreed. I think it's a shame they don't schedule all but the last couple of weeks of the season in advance- i.e soon after the fixtures come out. It would stop this business where people have made travel arrangements etc.

I had thought about going (I won't be now) but at least I hadn't made any firm plans, thank goodness!

Should guarantee a crowd of no more than about 2500 if its on TV.

This fixture was effectively only confirmed as going ahead over that weekend when Crawley lost 3-1 to Reading on Saturday, its the FA Cup 5th round on the 16th February. This probably explains why the decision has only been taken today. That said its ruined all my plans for the weekend as well as many others.

Well I'm pleased. Means I'll get to see this now.

Also, have we ever had an away game live on tele that wasn't part of a two-legged cup game? I seriously cannot remember a single one.

Port Vale after Penney was sacked when Guy scored 2? I recall watching it in a pub in London and being absolutely fuming when they turned it over!!

Did Lewis Guy dive? That was probably more likely.... Or was it that Mickey Walker sent him to the shop for some chewing gum?
