From what I read there it was more a slagging of Smith not so much bennet.

   The general concencus down there is that after a bright start from when he joined them he has gone downhill and now most don't think he's worth a shirt...
    But he's on the move though as he's given a interview saying how committed he his to pompey a sure sign he's going...As he gave one when he was here saying how he wanted to be the new coppinger legend for Rovers,a few weeks later he rejected a contract and was off on his toes to Pompey...
   Reality is he had talent but produced it in flashes and when he wasn't on his game he was a liability...

I was a big critic of Bennett when he was here because of his lack of effort, but to be fair to him he bucked his ideas up towards the end of his time here and started to show some effort, it sounds now as if he's slipped back into his old ways down there
