Dingles tickets
« on October 10, 2018, 07:03:10 pm by Padge_DRFC »
I see they’ve come out. Initial 2500 allocation. £23 adults but prices go up on match day.
I am not concerned about not being able to get a ticket. Don’t we normally take less than 2k. A lot of my mates will be waiting for general sale

I can see us taking 2500 if we’re still doing well by then. Isn’t it usually unreservedly seating at Barnsley too.

I have just looked it up and capacity is 5,797 so is quite a bit more than I realised.

Don’t DRFC have to buy the tickets so they will have asked for 2500 if they all go DRFC will pay for more.

Time flies it was 2004! And it was not quite that many but more than the 3500 initially reported.

Lucky you. We'd get 800 tickets, 2000 police and a 12.30 kick off on a Sunday.

There was two occasions when we took more than 3500. The first that foggy mid-week game which was a miracle it didn't get called off. Then a few years later there was a saturday game where they had cordoned off 3,500 seats but rovers fans had to manually remove the cordon to get seats (eventually the stewards joined in). There was probably a 500 overspill. I think at that time the dingles weren't counting pay on the day or something because there was definitely more rovers fans than they announced.

Anyway, more lately we've not taken as much so will be nice to get back to a big away following.

If you sell anywhere near 2500 SYP will shyte themselves, make it a 12.30 kick off, and charge us £50k to sell more tickets to Rovers fans, due to information received about the possibility of planned disorder.

Our 15 and 16 years old stone island brigade will be gathering more of their playmates for an afternoon in Barnsley.

SYP are the worst Police force in the country for policing football matches, they haven't got a clue.

Point of order - I would pitch in Humberside as the absolute worst. Any match at Scunny made infinitely more problematic by their aggressive and counter-productive policing tactics.

When we went to Scunny a couple of years back in the play off semi final the amount of OB in riot gear was unbelievable. Loads of them. The only problem was one Scunthorpe fan running up to the away end to do a bit of goading and another Scunthorpe who hit a steward in some altercation amongst themselves. But never mind it was a nice bit of easy OT.

I carnt see us selling anymore than 2500. Our away support over recent year has dropped a bit, but to be fair we are not the only ones.

I agree with that, I temember the coaches being escorted out from a game against Hull City a few years back, they escorted them with motorbike outriders all the way back to the M18 at Thorne

I remember being on a coach escorted away from Hull City.  Seem to remember feeling pretty relieved by their escort that day!

Was that boxing day when we got belted 4-0/1? And JJ Price got a hat trick
