The football league should now follow suite with something commensurable for our level of football.

If they don't, then Championship games will cost more than PL games.

£25 championship, £20 league one and two. Sound reasonable?

Are the premiership subsidising tickets with use of tv money ?
If so how will the lower leagues be able to set ticket prices ?

They'll have to rebalance their budgets, it's a fact of business life.

But seriously, for all the hard work we put into 'Twentys Plenty'
, and all those who kept saying we'd never get it, then this is just reward!

It will certainly put pressure on the championship/leagues 1& 2 to reduce the price...you would think/hope.

Are still right.

Maths isn't my strong point but £30 isn't £20.

Still, can't wait for Rovers to be in the Premier League so we can all take advantage.

That's an issue though, how many will have to reduce prices compared to those who may now put their prices up and say it's within guidelines ?

Not quite £20 yet but it's a start.

Probably take a few years yet, mind.

It's more than a start, 3 years ago we were told we would never get anything, nothing, zilch, zero. Even 6 months ago we were still struggling, and at the previous PL meet we lost the vote by a couple of clubs. Not anymore. This will change things.

It was never an absolute figure. We wanted a cap on all PL away games. The thought process was ask for £20 and take what we could get. It's a marker, and a very strong one!

But thanks for your observation Neil.

With the TV money they don't actually need to charge fans anything - it's different when you really need the gate money to stay afloat!

As you say Lincs they are not giving anything really in the premier league the new TV money the clubs get next season. They could charge nothing and still make more money than this season.

So whether the football league will follow suit depends on how much TV money gravitate down to league clubs.

Can anyone imagine what the health of our game would be like if TV money stopped . Better or worse?

It will  be interesting to see if any clubs reduce the size of the away allocation! You do have to remember getting away tickets with certain clubs is very difficult indeed anyway and it wont encourage the home side to increase allocations unless the ground is far to big for them.

How does this agreement sit with the rule that clubs have to charge home & away fans the same price for the same view/facilities?

City on Saturday £25 and you can't even get a pint in the away end.

The can't reduce the allocation, it's a PL rule that least 10% have to be made available to away fans.

It's quite a big victory, they are trying to change very fixed greedy minds. At premier league level with the money coming in with tv, there is no reason why eventually fans will be charged what they do in germany, but it will take time.
Below the premier league, you have to get agreements that still allow clubs to be ambitious, while not hurting the fans pockets too much.
As i said ages ago on a post, there should be a fixed amount for each division than can be charged, with a 15-20% where they can charge a little more for so many games per season.

Executive boxes i think they should be allowed free reign on those, because the people who use them can normally afford the amount, and they really are business orientated, though normal fans do use them.

It's simple we couldn't survive charging away supporters at £20 or less on a regular basis without a better distribution of the television monies.

That is what the FSF should really be pushing for along with the £20 ticket maximum . It would help matters if the FSF made a statement to that effect .
This is only a pyrrhic victory a fairer distribution of wealth to make " £20 plenty " the maximum ticket price wherever you watch away football is what should have been agreed .

High time that we had one league again with 92 equal votes as we had in the past. Either that or reduce the professional league it is simply unsustainable.
