even thou one of the band was from rotherham i went for
'into the valley' by the skids.

I know I'm digressing slightly but,

This was the first record I remember listening to in our house as a kid.
It was bought by my mum ... 1944 I believe. She played it on an old 'wind-up' gramaphone.
The said gramaphone eventually ended up being used as a 'Potters' wheel by yours truly as a kid... a lump of garden clay lobbed in the middle of it, a quick wind-up.... and hey presto, you hand a vase !!

Did I mention that we should use Molly Malone for our footy songs? all we need to do is change Dublin for Donny and we've sussed it.  ;)
