I thought he saw the specialist yesterday? No news means bad news?

I hate the internet age, why do people believe they have a right to know everything the minute it happens? The result may be in but the next step undecided so no report until the club and player know what that is. The angst and teddy throwing that has been displayed on the forum has been nothing short of ridiculous, especially from supposedly intelligent grown ups. If some spent as much time promoting the club with an effort to bring more fans in rather than ripping it apart for any slight perceived failing.

Post of the summer DVR, couldn't agree more.

If that's aimed at me specifically, DVR, then excuse me for being concerned!

Tell you what, I'll not be bothered in future.

I can't speak for DVR obviously but I would have thought his post was about the current trend of supporters wanting instant information.  He may or may not have aimed it personally at you, but perhaps he just got frustrated at the general air of impatience?

As for your OP, why would no news mean bad news?  Surely no news just means there is no news to go public yet?

It wasn't aimed solely at you Alan there are others who will look to tear the club apart at any opportunity but your response is as childish as the teddy throwing on perceived lack of information. Be concerned by all means but does it need to be daily and on every other thread?

Believe you me, when you're retired, the thirst for info gets ever stronger! Not childish at all - the response I got was way ott. Surely, you've read enough of my posts over the years to know I'm not a Club knocker - although this summer has been disappointing imo.

We both want the Club to move forwards, so let's get that straight. However, even you must be thinking they haven't exactly helped themselves with all the mixed messages and mis-information, for whatever reason.

I dearly would love Kiwomya not to be struck down with injury before he has even kicked a ball and I still hope for the best.

Time to move on.

Alan I know your not a club knocker but come on even you can see in quiet reflection that some of your comments have been ott. If I've offended you then I apologise maybe get a hobby where you can't get the internet it will be less stressful

Message from the man himself  via instagram

kiwomyaSo wanted to let people know the update on my injury, I had nerve damage that has stopped me from playing and missing pre season and the beginning of the season. It has been killing me not being able to play and be a part of training with the team but I'm on the road to recovery in hospital! And promise to return and give my all! 👍🏾❤️

Doesn't sound like a great outcome.

That sounds like nerve damage from one of his intervertebral discs. Several ways of treating it depending on the severity of the impingement. I would imagine he could recover his mobility fairly quickly however, there may be a residue of damage as nerves can take some time to re-establish. Sounds like it was relatively minor and hopefully the cause has been removed.

As he's young you'd think his recovery will be relatively quick.

Well according to twitterasphere he is in hospital recovering from some sort of nerve in his back op. How true that it I don't know let's hope the lad recovers because the option of his pace at sometimes in a match might make the difference.

Wife has something similar after having a spinal done while giving birth to our son.

Nhs say nothing can be done and she will have to live with the pain for the rest of her life.

Sort of a cry for help if anyone knows of anyone who could help that would be great

My mate finally got help when he got to see a specialist at Sheffield who diagnosed the cause immediately and had him in for surgery within days. I'll try and find out his name.

Well being on the receiving end of 4 spinal operations ranging from the basic disectomy to the last being the titanium rods and screws over 2 levels things can be done.
Presuming its sciatica type pain sometimes just physio can help it helped me to start with and kept me going I know a good private one in Auckley or you can be refered to a physio through your gp ( can take a bit of time) she dealt with me for years.
However if you get no joy with physio you need refering to a consultant  there are good ones at DRI (had all my ops in Park Hill by the same consultant) The chances are the first thing he'll do is get a Mri scan that'll prove where the problem is and then they'll decide which way to go  although all mine were done via Bupa  the same consultants are available on the NHS a friend of mines just had the mri scan and a disectomy  done on the nhs
