Predictions for the season

I think the same as you, although I've stuck a small bet on us to make the playoffs just on the off chance that we have a stormer, can't honestly see it though.

10-14th defensively we aren't good enough, if we strengthen at the back then could be in the playoff chasing pack.

I think we're a right back and centre half away from challenging for the top 6. Idd say we will end up 10th-14th.

As the squad stands now between 10th and 14th. No doubt we will score plenty, but I can't help but feel the squad is imbalanced. Baudry and lawlor are class and will easily make the step up. But in truth I think Butler is a slightly below average centre half and wright is an unknown commodity to be relied on as back up. Alcock isn't a centre half at this level either, and McCullough really has a point to prove this season.

If we can fix our defensive frailties and bring in someone almost if Baudrys level and a decent right back I can see us finishing 4th as the attacking talent will win us points.

Liam Mandeville will fire us in to the top  2 by new year. Some top end championship team will sign him in Jan and we will slip down to finish mid table.

I have a gut feeling we will have a decent season - looking around this league there are probably only a couple of sides that would genuinely scare us the rest are on par with us. So for me the play offs - why not.

I feel the same way, if we can get a centre half in and Baudry back quickly I might change my mind. If Houghton signs and Kiwomya recovers as well I might even get giddy

I think we'll at least win as many as we lose, which is not far off play off form. Once again, we are light of two of our best players, plus Houghton, to start off with so, given better luck with injuries to the spine of the team, a play off place should be a target and be achievable.

Under SO'D we were known for the Rolls Royce midfield. I can see great things from that department this year. More exciting football, especially at home should keep the doom mongers reasonably quiet! No doubt though, the 'Gerrit forrad' brigade will still be heard loud and clear!

At the moment, bottom half. If we shore up the centre of defence, then who knows what this team could do? Really do have that last nagging problem of a decent cb.

Promotion for me. Fergie knows what's needed to go up from this division, he's made some very good signings (on the face of it at least) and as far as I can see there's not one team in the division who I think are absolute bang on for promotion.  So why not us?
