Port Vale

On their forum they're very confident, one saying it will be 'easy'... I'd say we're a slightly different team to who played them earlier on in the season.
One or two have said they need to be careful.
I just like how some other fans think we are still a Dickov team.

I think tonight will be 3-1, all the lads will want to make a point after Saturday. Theo Robinson will without a doubt score!

I love this little comment

Maybe they're confident because they've put 3 past us in each of our last 3 meetings.  :(

On the basis of their last three games against us you could argue they are a bogey team. On the other hand we won each of the preceding four games against them.

Recent form doesn't suggest much of an advantage to either team. Both sides drew on Saturday and were thought to be below par. Both have made new signings before tonight's game.

Not sure it warrants a huge amount of confidence from supporters of either side. My gut feeling is we'll win 2-1 but a draw wouldn't surprise me.

I'm proper looking forward to tonight's game - my first Tuesday nighter in what seems a lifetime, something to look forward to after work.............

.......... So, that can only mean one thing!!!!!! We'll lose and play awful (as if Dickov was our manager!).

0-1 - Theo Robinson with a 'worldie' goal.

EDIT: A 'worldie' by Theo's standards is a tap-in, I know!

I'm not confident either. PV are just that sort of team who exploit our weaknesses and with the chopping and changes due to injuries, I can't see us being at the top of our game.

Really hoping Grant is fit and the new lad(s) are full of beans wanting to impress.

If Keegan plays I hope he advances to set the line higher up the pitch rather than sitting on the centres half's toes. That's when we struggle to break out and link with the front men.

We need more than a 'going through the motions' performance tonight.

I think wind could play a big part tonight, especially in a crowded penalty area at corners & free kicks so.................feed the lads up with broccoli & sprouts BOOM, BOOM!

If it can be taken as a positive, I won't be there tonight. Now I have seen us win this season, but I've also seen all three of our home defeats, as well as the Stoke cup game. The last time I missed a home game was against Chesterfield, and we know what happened then.

I wish I could have been proven wrong.

The basics of football were very much absent tonight.

Started quite brightly in first 5 mins. During that time Lund miscontrolled the ball twice. Didn't get away with it a third time. Set the tone for the night really where they played with a ball and we played with a mis-shaped bar of soap.

Even Copps made poor decisions and the passing and crossing was woeful.

Young Gooch looked promising in those first 5 minutes but then we couldn't get him involved.

Port Vale won because they did the basics, the simple things, better than us.

Every time I don't attend a home game we lose! It seems to me that the team needs me more than I need them. Perhaps it's in the clubs interest to pay me compensation for missing work, in order to attend matches..........Unless of course some of you VSC members would like to chip in a pound or two.

I'm only thinking of the team.
