That would be really amazing but relegation dogfight is possible if we don't sort the defensive problems.

It would be even better if it pushed the Blades down into 7th

I'd say 10th, just assuming that we won't have all our best players fit during the run in, if we do 6th isn't out of the question but we would need to be near perfect from now on.

Sammy mate. 6th is out of the question.

We'd need 34 points minimum from 17 matches to finish 6th. More likely 37-40 points.

Even with every player fit and a cattle prod up their rectums, this squad ain't going to win 11-13 of the last 17 games.

The optimist in me is thinking i might not have ''Done my money'' yet, but unfortunately i think you are right. Ferguson has done a good job so far, loans in and out, releasing players, getting the team scoring goals and entertaining football being played at times, it's a bit of a juggling act for him at the minute.
A couple of narrow defeats have brought a reality back to where we really are at the minute. The sides still fragile, take a player or two out and we start to struggle again, i see us making 12th at least.

6th.

Given past events I'm not going to risk offering to run around the Keepmoat in the buff or have bull's testicles for lunch. I'll just say that if we finish any higher than 10th I'll be very, very surprised.

It can't be out the question all you need is two consecutive victories and then you're on the brink of the playoffs, Coventry are also in free fall,
Port Vale were 6 points off just over a week ago, then after 2 wins they're a point off,
A small run of 2 or 3 victories and we would be in the thick of it

One of the earlier posts on here suggested the poster hoped to finish higher than Scunny and Barnsley who we play very soon so we will have a bench mark.. Scunny just amaze me, they go on a win run (as now) then go into a decline then back with about 4 wins on trot and so the result is awkward, then Barnsley who many on here ridiculed after we beat them and they too went on a 7 game straight run of defeats and now are win win win..  And last night our near neighbours rubbed our noses in it this season by getting a final place at Wembley in April....Well Done Barnsley.

So where indeed will Donny end up is the dilemma, only the superstars who are to blame for the Club's dour season have the answer, many oldies to go at the end of season.

How many times have we won two on the bounce though, let alone three? Despite the overall trend of results being better under Ferguson we are still way too inconsistent to make any sort of challenge.

I'm sure it's something he's well aware of, but, like our wretched home form, identifying the problem is easier than finding a solution.

Inconsistent levels of performance seem to be ingrained into this squad.
